So these are sold as pictured for parts only, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be functional as everything else in the toolbox that came with it was functional and well taken care of, so I'm assuming he would have thrown it away if it didn't work, however these are untested as I do not have the knowledge or ability to test any of it.
