Old Original Ford Tractor Tire Pressure Gauge Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Magneto
This is a very rare original tire pressure gauge for a Ford tractor. It measures about 2 1/8 inches in diameter and is in excellent condition with no cracks breaks. Or repairs of any kind. It says"Ford Tractor" on the bottom of the face and has correct pressures for both front and rear tires on the tractor. I believe this is part of a setup to air up the tires with the engine as it says that the engine must be run very slowly. I've seen and had many original pieces of tractor memoribilia and collectibles but I've never seen this particular piece. It would be a great addition to your Ford memoribilia collection or display especially if you display it with your tractor. I'm sure you'll be the only one at the show with one! This is an old original brass air pressure gauge with the"General Fire Extinguisher" company name on it. These generally came with air compressor setups from the early 1900's. The gauge is all brass and has been nickel plated but most of the nickel is gone. It would polish up very nicely. It measures about 5 1/2 inches in diameter and about 1 3/4 inches thick. It is missing the screws that hold the works and the face to the case. Other than those fasteners along with a little cleaning this would be a very nice gauge. It goes up to 250 lbs. These original gauges are rather tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one don't miss it. They certainly look better than any modern gauge!
