For sale is a nice working Craftsman industrial 1/2 hp bench grinder. Model number 397.19340. 115 volt, 5.1 amp, 3580 idle RPM. Totally enclosed ball bearing split phase motor. It has seen some normal wear for a used grinder including scratches, scuffs, grime, and dings. It works well and sounds good. The light works well also and is flexible. It comes with the 2 grinding wheels seen pictured which are also in used condition. The tray in the final picture is included. VTG Craftsman 1/4 HP Ball-Bearing Cast-Iron Bench Grinder 1962 397.19501C2110
Here's a pretty decent old Craftsman 1/4" Horsepower Bench Grinder with the cast Iron body-not alloy like the typical"block" grinders. This is a heavy unit with all parts intact to include the eye shields and the tool rests. Perfect to restore or use as is. I would recommend some new wheels-or I'll throw in some others if the grinder reaches beyond $90. I wouldn't hesitate to throw this directly into service in any shop or hobby space. The original cord is in acceptable condition and is not frail-although many people may prefer to attach a newer plug with a ground.
