Antique Vintage Metal Step Stool Industrial Steampunk Folding Steps Machine Age
This is a very cool old metal step stool with steps that fold inward. Dating back to the 1940's or 1950's. The step stool is in very good condition and appears to have been re-painted many blue moons ago. It is a flat black paint with some chipping and paint splatters. It appears the top of the stool has a very old floor tile glued to it. The folding step mechanism works well, the stool is sturdy, weighing a hefty 12-1/2# It has utilitarian uses yet, or can be a new steampunk art form. Antique Foot Stool Step Up Original Finish
This auction is for a very nice old foot stool or something used to step up onto a high bed. The piece looks old. And the cushion is held by slotted screws. There appears to be no damage. We feel the wood stool has its original un-restored finish. It measures 16 5/8 inches long, 9 ½ inches wide and 7 inches to the top of the cushion, 9 inches tall total. The red velvety cushion cover is faded and may have been replaced at some point. A nice addition to any like furniture collection. This step stool looks like a piece of furniture from a TV show from the 70's.It does have ware and tear from age and use. Someone used it as a painter's ladder so it has speckles of white paint splattered all around it. The wood is stained a medium brown. This step stool was made by my grandfather probably for my mother who was born in 1906 in Montana. So this step stool is well over 100 years old. Due to age and use there is a lot of surface wear. Scuff marks, paint and shoe polish residue.
