Old Vintage Glass Door Knobs This is a set of 2- or 4 doorknobs together. They're in good. Vintage condition. They are both on their"stems" One set has the door plates attatched. They are both glass. But in different patterns. The first is smooth round glass. With an inside pattern. One doorknob has silver colored hardware and a little locking lever, and the other has brass colored hardware. This is a pretty design and in good shape. The second set is in a 12 point star type of pattern. These don't have the door plates. Antique Chestnut Glass Door Display Cabinet, was in Country Store since 1931
Beautiful Rustic Piece from a small town Indiana country store. This piece was put in the store when it was opened in 1931 but no one is sure if i's older or was made for the store. I would think it's older because of how scarce Chestnut was at that time. For anyone that doesn't know American Chestnut is considered extinct. They were killed in the first quarter of the cenury by an oriental blight that it had no resistance to. When they say extinct for a plant. There are still a few Chestnut trees but in such small quantities. This glass door cabinet is:15 1/2" wide X 13 1/2" deep X 65" tall. Antique stained glass window(door topper) sourced from Baltimore. Maryland. Guessing 1920's- 40's but could be older. Half Circle that is 15" tall at center and base that is 30" wide. Wood frame has been stripped of many coats of paint but needs to be sanded and refinished. The glass is in good condition. The lead is in fair condition. Yellow, blue, pink, red, green glass; with a white"45" that is grounded in a cobalt blue glass background. Due to the fragile nature of the item. The 2" diameter glass knobs are very good with no chips or cracks. The brass on the knobs have the old patina and will need polished if you want them shiny. The locks are in good working condition and have a dead bolt. 4 lock sets have the square shank key with 1 3/8" diameter key hole covers. 1 lock set has the key hole cover. But no key, and 1 lock set doesn't have a key hole cover or a key. The 2 1/4" diameter fibre rosettes that fit behind the knobs are in good condition with no breaks. But a couple of the rosettes do have a few chips where the knob seats. The plate on the lock measures 7/8" by 3 3/4" and 3/1/8" between screw holes. We are pleased to offer this great Victorian bookcase. The maker of this is unknown to us. This is not a reproduction. The bookcase has been refinished and restored with a new back and two shelfs. It was finished in a honey color. This is made from either maple or cherry under the stain. This has carved designs above the glass panels on the doors. The top has a broken scroll style pediment backsplash with carved and applied acanthus leaf design. The doors have their original wavy glass and the original key as well. This stands 59.5" high and has a width of 35" with a depth of 11 7/8" The inside dimensions are as follows: 44.5"H x 31.75"W x 9.75" D(with the door closed) The front of the bookcase shows ball style feet with a straight square foot in the back. But it looks like something from pre-WWII. It's a white medical cabinet and has a glass door on the left that has a nice marble or white glass shelf in it. Then, on the right side there are two drawers for things. On the glass door there's a red cross symbol. It's a Maltese cross which is often used for Fire Departments. We don't know what country this is from. The door and the drawers have porcelain knobs although the one on the door is slightly different. The two drawers have locks on them but we don't have the keys. The cabinet has a number of nicks. Chips and scrapes on it and, there's a crack in the back on the left side in the picture. It's ... morereally cool cabinet and a nice size. It measures 28" W x 12.5" D x 11" H to the top of the cabinet and 14" H to the top of the scallop. This is a set of 10 small glass knobs. Each with a screw-in threaded end, presumably for use as drawer or cupboard handles. Ideal to complete or enhance a favourite piece of furniture. Each knob measures approx 1.25 inches in diameter, about the same again in depth of the visible knob part, with the threaded section adding a further approx 0.7 inches. Condition is good. There are just a few small nibbles. None of which are obtrusive. All in all, a lovely, usable set, and nice to have 10.

The lions heads at the top of the bookcase hold brass rings in their mouths, the lions on the bottom section do not. Both doors lock with included key. The drawer is fashioned with hand cut dovetails. Overall the bookcase is quite sturdy. There are a few minor flaws such as an age split on the right side and a repaired section of moulding at the top of the glass door. Besides minor wear consistent with age these are purely cosmetic issues and the piece is in very good shape. It does break down into top and bottom sections for easier transport. The relatively small width of this piece makes it ideal for filling smaller spaces in a variety of rooms. Plenty of storage space in this wonderful bookcase. The carving is beautifully done on this door at the bottom. The Corsica glass is unique and interesting. Here is the repaired moulding at the top of the glass.
