This nice size music box has a glass panel dust cover pivoting door protecting the 3 7/8" long cylinder movement. Five of the knobs are on spindles with a turn lever and the other two are on a single swivel. The swivels are in great shape and the knobs are easily removed except for one could use a little grease. Description This is a large and very decorative antique jewelry box with a door and three shelves to display your favorite items. Box has amber beveled glass on the door. Sides and top. All the glass is held in place with loads of tiny prongs. Gold velvet inside is tufted with brass color studs. The fabric is not torn but there are spotted stains on the middle shelf and on the back- They are a bit lighter than they appear in the picture. I have not tried to clean them. The top has a filigree design with cherubs. This box is a beautiful example of craftsmanship that is no longer available. Box measures 11-1/2" tall. 8-1/2" wide and 4-3/4" deep. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/4" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. The veneer on the bottoms of the hinge and lock stiles are cracked; there is a piece of veneer on the bottom rail that is broken off; and the top and bottom of the hinge stile, a piece of molding next to the glass lites and the edge of the lock housing are all chipped. Otherwise. This door is in very good shape with only surface scrapes, scratches, small nail holes-minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted. Penn Antique Restoration. Antique"Russwin" Bronze Entry Door Set w/Knob. Pull, Lock, Plates Superb. Antique, exterior door, pull set salvaged from Southwestern Pennsylvania. The set consists of 1 bronze pull consisting of 2 square, back plates and thumb latch; 1 round, bronze, mortise cylinder plate; 1 octagon-shaped glass knob w/brass shank;1 bronze rosette; 1 brass thumbturn; 1 steel mortise lock with a bronze faceplate; 1 bronze mortise cylinder with 1 working bronze key and bronze anti-theft collar; 1 bronze strike plate for the door jamb; 1 2-piece, threaded spindle to connect the knob; and 2 brass bolts and washers, and 2 iron nuts and washers to secure the pull. All parts, except for the pull were made by, Russwin" of New Britain, CT sometime between 1900& 1920. All brass/bronze parts are solid, heavy, thick, cast ... morebrass/bronze, not stamped or plated iron. The lock is fully reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door. We found the parts with a nice. Rich, patina, which we opted to leave. There are a couple streaks of white paint on the handle. But the rest is tarnish. I f you prefer a more cleaned and polished look. We can clean thr set prior to shipping so for a charge of $30-email us after the auction if you are interested. The beauty of the parts are only matched by their superb condition. All parts are in fine shape with only the light nicks and scratches. That you would expect to find on century-old hardware. This cabinet is made of oak and has glass shelves with a glass and wood door. In addition there are 2 smaller doors below where more storage is available.The top interior sec tion is covered in a black velvet material. A light illuminates the interior of the cabinet. The condition is very nice with no major flaws but has the usuall wear associated with a piece of this age. I'm not sure how old the cabinet is. I've had the piece for about fifty years and would guess it about 100 yrs old.The dime nsions are: H 72 1/2" X W 31 1/2" X D 14" This cabinet is currently used for displaying wine and cognac glasses. Antique window was salvaged from a historic home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. It has a solid, riftsawn, red oak frame and 21 pieces of clear, original, glass set within a leaded skeleton. The central leaded arch is adorned with 8 lead, floral motifs-1 is missing. You could tell that the piece was well-maintained over the years because it is in excellent condition! All of the glass is intact and in good shape; the leading is firm and tight; and the frame is strong and sturdy. With only a nicks and scratches. Looks to have original white paint and hardware. inside light and lock may have been replaced at some time) Made of heavy gauge steel with a glass door. Great looking Cabinet with a vintage patina. It would look great in any home, office, game room or man cave. The white paint has some wear and tear with stretches and chips, no noticeable ding s or dents. The black base has some light surface rust but it is still very solid. Come s with attached working lock and key on the upper door.
