Vintage GLASS Brunswick Balke Collender Advertising Door Push Pool Tables RARE
Hi. You are bidding on a vintage glass advertising door push from the Brunswick Balke Collender Co. The push is about 12 inches long. It is etched and engraved from the back. The company was formed from 3 companies and this is the Brunswick which grew into the pool table manufactures of today. There are screw holes at the top and bottom and it looks like the piece probably was applied to a colored background of some kind. It is VERY difficult to take pictures of clear glass pieces. The top and bottom have engraved backs around the screw holes which give it a frosted look. The writing looks to be acid etched from the back. The push does show some use and there is a chip at the bottom right next to the word Collender. There is a smaller chip at the top left near the engraved area. The bottom is mildly discolored from having thousands of hands ... morepush against it. I havent tried to clean it with anything very strong. I will let the buyer experiment. This auction is for a vintage Amethyst and clear glass door knob assembly. This fabulous pair of door knobs comes with the assembly to attach it to your door. One knob has a beautiful light amethyst color with a brass fitting. The other end has a clear knob with a chrome fitting. When looking at the knobs from the top you can see a pretty star burst design. The knobs match designs. I was told the reason one is purple and the other clear is because the sun turned the knob purple due to what mineral is in the glass. The other being out of sight stayed clear. The knobs are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is paint on the rod. But I will leave this to the bidder to clean. The knobs measure approx. 2 in. diameter. Kosta Boda Cast Glass Sculpture Head with Stairway, Mirror Door, Metal Base
This is an excellent Kosta Boda cast glass sculpture. It displays beautifully and since the glass is clear it can be integrated into any décor or color scheme. Most of the pictures shown here were illuminated in sunlight which flatters the piece. It will also look nicely mysterious under a spot light. The piece can be interpreted in many ways. The cast steps lead up to a mirror which may reflect the viewer or is a door to an inner spirit. And what does the steps mean. Is the head a universal spirit or someone under examination. The metal base is also interesting and is well made. It need not be used or put it away and bring it out only when missed. This item would be an excellent addition to any glass collection. The set was salvaged from the 1926 Western Union building at 334 Carondelet St. in New Orleans in preparation for a planned condo conversion. These doors and windows are heavy. Commercial grade, and unusually tall. They are in excellent condition and have been stripped and cleaned. The entire set contains 21 separate pieces. The door has a solid oak core with 1/8" oak veneers. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Oak is a very dense wood and the door would've warped long ago if it weren't for its veneers. Originally. The door had 9 beveled glass lites, but now, there are only 8. The corner of the thin, long lite is broken(see photo) Once molding is added, the break will either be concealed or barely visible. Description This is a great antique door that was salvaged from a Lebanon. PA Victorian Home. It is made of oak and both sides are unpainted. It has a full length beveled glass panel with a 1 and 5/8 inch visible bevel. The front and back are the same except the front has a small shelf below the glass. It has most of it's hardware. There are no knobs the the escution needs replacing. It measures 37.75 inches by 82.5 inches tall and is 1.75 inches thick. Overall. It is in very good condition. There is no reserve on this great looking antique lightning rod ball. We are pleased to offer this antique lightning rod ball in the“doorknob” shape. This shape is one of the harder ones to find. It is in the milk glass blue color with swirls similar to slag glass. And is in excellent condition. There is some normal roughness on each end of the ball, but it can easily be covered with caps. There are no chips. Cracks or stains. We think this would be a welcome addition to anyone’s collection. The measurements are 4 ¼” high x 4” across the midline. Outstanding Victorian Mansion Cut Glass Door Bell& Door Knob I have been in the Antiques business for over 40 years and have never come across. Seen,or even heard of something like this. I was at the"Breakers" in Newport(Vanderbuilts Summer Mansion) a few weeks ago and what they had does not compare. This is not something that Grandma would have had on her house. It came from a Victorian Mansion. The Door Bell Switch and Door Knob appear as if it may have been made in France. Door Bell Totally unusual. The Large Doorbell switch consists of a Cut Glass outer Donought mounted to a Brass plate and has a Faceted Cut Glass Knob which activates a switch when pushed inward. It measures 4 inches in diameter. The knob is 1 3/4 inches in diameter. There is no damage at all on any of the cut glass points. Both the Donought and Knob have ... moreground and polished faceted surfaces with a cut design on the back sides which show throught to the front when viewing. The rear of the plate has the original Bell Switch contacts which spring the knob forward when relased. There are 4 beveled screw holes in the backer where screws need to be inserted under the Glass to mount it to a wall. When I got this. It was kind of grungy. The Brass plate where the Donought mounts had a Silver Painted surface to back the glass. The paint was deteriorated so I took it apart. Repainted the backer and the Brass Trim around the inner opening and the Brass trim where the knob mounts. While it was apart I photographed the back of the Donought to show it's cut design and the Plate it mounts on after repaint. After reasembly I find the Knob to be more brilliant than the Donought simply becase the Silver Paint behind the Donought isn't a perfect reflector. Cutting a mirror to put under the glass would make this scream. I left it alone as it was orginally the way you see it. I weighs 1 Lb 11 Oz. Swinging Glass Door Coca Cola Refrigerator, Cooler, Merchandiser
For sale is a Coca Cola refrigerator with a single. Swinging glass door. The cooler was manufactured by Beverage Air and features Coke advertisements/imagery across the top and sides. The handle for the door is a molded Coke Bottle. The unit comes with four shelves that can be placed at various heights for stocking items. The unit has been under private ownership for the last few years and is in excellent shape. The only serious exterior cosmetic flaw is the crack on the lid of the door's handle. The side Coke labeling is frayed at the top/bottom but that is only visible upon in-depth inspection. The unit runs very smoothly. The entire unit measures approximately 5'2" tall. 2' wide, and 2' deep. The actual cooler space measures approximately 3'10" tall. 20" deep, and 21" wide. Lot of(32) Antique Victorian Crystal Glass Door Knobs. Right out of a great estate! Is this set of Crystal Glass Door Knobs. In Wonderful shape! We have not cleaned or wiped them down at all. They are completely antique with no messing around. You can clean them or get the paint specks off if you want or keep them completly original. All knobs have there brass bases. 14 pairs are set together and 1pair is off and needs screwed on. 2 have the turns on the others side of the knobs.
