Old style pickle. Olive or lemon fork, three tines with crossbar. Beautiful Sterling Silver Lemon Fork in a Neoclassic or Greek Revival pattern, I can't find the name. I'm no expert but it appears to be a style from the late 1800's? Probably 1895-1899, which does match with the company Very elegant styling, pediment with laurel swags and greek key designs. Excellent condition, very few usage marks, no monograms, removals or repairs. Has the old Simpson Hall& Miller hallmark on the back of the handle which is a shield with an S in the center. The bowl of the basket reveals a pattern of intercrossing diagonal lines with floral accents and an affixed squash racket and ball embellishment; the sides show an evenly distributed dimpled element. This creation has ball feet and a heavy cable styled handle with high arch; the basket lip is both scalloped and crimped which gives an unusual but pleasing effect. I don't see any damage to the castor other than some wear on the inside of the base. This castor has a nice intricate design and comes with the tongs. Very nice form with nice detailing on the handles and the band around the the lid. There are ornate brackets on the front to hold a butter knife. It measures 7 1/2 inches high and about 9 5/8 inches across the handles. It is very nice looking but there is alot of wear to the silverplate; some on the top but the worst is on the bottom portion of the keeper. No dings or ... moredents. Hall, Miller company that was founded in 1866 and merged with the International Silver Co in 1898. It is marked on the base with the company mark, quadruple plate” and the number“032” While they were a silver company, this piece has a gold wash that is still 99% intact. It measures 9 ¼” tall to the top of the detachable vase and has a base diameter of 2 7/8” The base measures 6 ¼” tall without the vase. The glass insert has an acid etched floral and vine decoration at its shoulder and a couple of no-mention fleabites at its top rim. The figural base appears to be in perfect“as made” condition. An astonishing work of fine craftsmanship, this piece has a mouth that suggests metal having been torn and folded back on itself to form pyramidal points; the overarching gold-washed cable handle is secured by these turned back folds. The front side of the basket bears an applied elaborately articulated branch with flowers and leaves in bloom; the rear shows a beautifully rendered climbing frog. Up for auction is a lovely Antique Simpson Hall& Miller& Co. Silver plated Cruet Set. I would consider this in good antique condition. And would date this sometime in the 1880's or 1890's. The glass containers have a thumbprint pattern around the top and bottom with floral etching around each piece. The glass containers are all matching and have no chips or cracks. There are a few normal small scratches from general use. The three tall glass pieces measure approx. 7" tall, the two smaller measure approx. 5" All have silver plated tops, the silver plated top is not attached properly on one of the taller glass containers(Pic#10) The hinge on one of the smaller glass containers is broken see pic#10, one of the metal pins has simply broken. Overall I would consider the glass containers in great condition for there age. ... moreThe Silver plated metal holder measures 15" tall and has a floral design around the center and bottom portion. ARSENAL DEPT. 7700 NO 14" This is nicely machined into the top and filled with off-white colored paint. There are no cracks or scratches. Only rub marks, especially on the bottom from sliding around on a bench. I have cleaned and polished it. Including the switch and battery contacts. It comes with fresh Energizer alkaline batteries: 1-D& 4-AA's. And includes vintage Simpson test leads, the best I could find in my stock. Most test leads from that era have become brittle and cracked. Especially the red ones, so the only good red lead I could find has a splice in it. The rubber is still flexible. I'm also including a set of new"Made in China" leads with attachments. The meter is tested as ... morefunctional on all ranges with predictable results.
