Unit comes in a Pelican Case 1200 which is in good condition. Meter is used(some paint scratched off chassis case) Included with the meter are 10 Elements. Dummy Load, and assorted TNC, BNC, and SO238 adapters. Please note that due to being used, it is sold as-is. Just a little yellowed due to choice of paper used for printing otherwise not bad and hopefully soon to be destined for someones scrapbook of early electronics. These were not clipped from some magazine. They were sent by Bird Electronic Corp of Cleveland, OH to prospective buyers of then new Loads and RF Wattmeters, and the brand name continues on now from Solon, Ohio. The lot consists of one page front and back on Termaline Resistors and 2 pages(one 11X17 folded or 4 pp front and back) on their models 61 and 67 Wattmeter. No dates are shown on them but I believe these are from the 1950's based on the telephone number(Express 3535) and the lack of a ZIP code in the address. Up for your consideration is a Heathkit RF dummyload wattmeter. Unit was my bench unit until the other day I was testing a high power alpha and the meter stopped working in the 2kw range. When this happened some smoke came from a variable trimmer on the board on the rear. You can see the little ceramic trimmer in under the word null in picture#3. This is a Bird model 61 wattmeter with dummy load. It has two ranges. 0-2.5 and 0-10 watts. Covers 30-500mhz. I checked it out with a low power radio and was working well. To change the power levels requires moving a jumper connector plug to the right or left of the center input connector. When I removed it and reinstalled it in the other receptacle, it stopped working. Probably a loose connection but no time for another project so I am selling it as is. Buyer pays shipp ing. This is a Bird TS-118A/AP RF Wattmeter 500 Watt Dummy Load. There are 8 thermocouples and 5 other adapters. I have no way to test but the dummy load measures 50 ohms with an ohmmeter. Unit is very clean and seems to have seen little use. Unit may be NOS but will call it used. Paint has a few scratches. Paint splatters, etc. Here are some specs: Frequency range is 20-1400 MHz, wattage is 2-500, impedance is 50 ohms. There are 2 sets of thermocouples. I tested all of them with an ohmmeter and one was open. This will only leave one(MX-1785/U) If for any reason there is a problem whether it is with the item. This is a 1.5 KW dummy load with a large 3' cross-needle peak reading SWR/Wattmeter. You select the dummy load or use as a Wattmeter from a switch on the back. It covers 1.8 Mhz- 54 Mhz with the peak reading meter on the 300 watt or 3000 watt range. All original. Crisp lettering, excellent front panel, clear working meter, but requires 12 volts, not included. The cabinet is not damaged or modified and the original paint is excellent with a scratch on top.
