Rare antique hand made sewing kit hand embroidered to the spine with the date of 1897 and what appears to be the makers name. The kit has an English or French silk brocade covered cover with 12 sections inside made from linen with a silky finish. Each section has a hand written notation in ink with a flap trimmed in pink silk and a tiny pearl button(a few of the loops are broken or missing) Some of the sections contain their original contents ~ a chevron patterned silk needle case containing needles. The Fitel Cleaver opens and the interior piece slides freely and without obstruction. The 3M Fibrlok slicer appears. To my untrained eye, to be in good working condition. The Thomas Betts Fiber Optic Connector 92208 or 007-4200 appears to be in good shape as well. The Clauss No-Nik fiberoptic stripper and and the Miller wire cutter appear to be in very good shape. Antique Portable German Blood Transfusion Kit Strange Medical Oddity Wiesbaden
I be-leave this is be a antique German blood transfusion kit. The kit contains 2 large glass bottle marked in Ml. And several pieces of glass and rubber tubing. From my research this would be a blood transfusion kit dating somewhere between WW1 and WW2, but I could be wrong and it could date earlier. The kit appears to be complete, but I am not an expert on medical antiques, or a doctor so I cannot tell for sure. None of the glass in the kit is broken or chipped. Please look over the pictures below to see for yourself this great and unique piece of medical history. The wooden case appears to be all original and in great condition, with brass latches to hold the back door in, and a lock for the top(I do not have the key) I truly unique and unusual medical oddity! This is a player's kit with scratches and a few dents. Despite having been around the block, the drums sound amazing and display really well. PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION OF EACH DRUM BELOW. WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTOS IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WILL GET. PRICE IS FIRM. My conservative breakdown is $150 for the bass. $50 for each tom and $25 for the tom mount, so I think it is a good deal) As you can see in the photos. Drums are missing some hardware(that I've removed to restore another Premier kit) In general, however, all you'll need is a tightening screw for the 13's tom mount and 8 T-rods for the floor tom and this kit is ready to play. 22 BASS- Badge# 1784. 8 lugs. These are some of the best sounding and most beautiful drums made. Period. I have owned Gretsch(50s round badge) High end Ludwig, Yamaha, George Way, custom made, and several dw Collectors kits. This one beats them all, hands down. If you don't already know about Fidock, please check out the Fidock Drums website and related videos and reviews. On the Fidock site, under"Our Drums,Drum Kits, this set is the Blackwood Session Kit. According to Stephen Fidock, the set retails in Australia for $12,000+. I don't know where you can find them in the USA. Here's the scoop on this specific set of drums: They are very lightly used. But in all but perfect condition. There is a small dent in the rim of the floor tom, which I do not think will iron out(see the Fidock website for restoring the minor indentations that can occur on the blackwood ... morerims over time from rim shots) This small dent does not affect the sound or structural integrity of the rim at all. Additionally, I remember a shallow, c.1" scratch on the floor tom, but I can't even find it to try to photograph it. There is also a c.4-5" dark mark on the BD reso head. My guess is that it is the result of a black rubber cymbal stand foot or the like rubbing against it. I include these minor details in the interest of full disclosure. Overall the condition is great! Due to lighting. The drums look to be different colors in the photographs; but they are a matched set. Sizes: BD 24X18.
