This is a super nice Conn cornet. The serial number is 844664. Beautiful copper bell. There are very minor dents and scratches as well as very minor lacquer wear. The cornet went through our shop where it was thoroughly cleaned. Disinfected and put into good playing condition. The cornet is ready to play when you recieve it. It comes with mouthpiece and new plastic hardshell case.

This is a used King cornet. The serial number is 271077. The cornet is in very good condition with some very minor dents and scratches as well as very minor lacquer wear. The cornet went through our repair shop where it was disassembled. Thoroughly cleaend and disinfected, and put into good playing condition. It comes with a mouthpiece and new plastic hardshell case. And the AUCTION TERMS below, BEFORE bidding. And wait for my invoice before paying! SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE PICTURES! Greetings! For your consideration I offer this vintage long cornet in B-flat. Marked"CONN USA" on the bell and"A" on the receiver. This is the 6A Victor cornet. Late model. Serial number"794530" indicates manufacture in about 1959. Yellow brass with nickle trim. Nickleplated valve block, and electroformed"Coprion" leadpipe. This was the"long cornet" version of the 6B trumpet, and was produced from about 1958-61. Bore size is Conn's#1, 438" This is essentially a Connstellation with a ... morebrass bell instead of and"Electro-D" heavily nickle-plated bell. The bell is 5-1/8" diameter, like a Connstellation. CONDITION: This instrument is in rather rough condition. All slides pull properly except the 2nd valve crook which is stuck. All caps turn. Valve compression is quite good. Better that I would expect in a horn in this condition. The original lacquer finish is about 75% intact, with a lots of scratches and patchy wear on the mouthpipe. There are lots of dents and dings. And some hack repairs made on earlier dents, especially the bell flare and the area above the bell bow, which shows quite a bit of deformation. There are some splotches of corrosion on the main tuning slide which may be red-rot coming through. The valve buttons are not original. Valves need interior felts and alignment. See the pics. I am selling it AS FOUND-you will definitely want to clean and lubricate it. ACCESSORIES: Later replacement Conn case in fair condition. Vintage Martin Band Instrument Company Cornet"The Indiana" Made in Elkhart. Indiana. My research indicates that its serial number 73299 means it was made in 1959. It has signs of regular use, including several small dings and dents and quite a bit of scratches and oxidation as visible in the photos. All of the moving parts move easily(I'm no expert, but this includes the 3 presser buttons, and the two squeezie things that cover little air holes- sorry. People who know are probably cringing at my lack of terminology. Comes with two mouthpieces. Both of which fit snugly. They read: Vincent Bach Corp. 7C. Olds 3 Based on the Olds script I believe that mouthpiece was also manufactured in the 1950s. Other accessories include: Brass music stand/holder that attaches to the instrument. A plastic thing that straps around something. I ... morehave no idea what it is. Three brushes- A large one. A medium size one, and one that is on a long flexible wire. Container of Spitballs which appears rusted closed. Small container of Herco slide grease. A well- used cloth I'm guessing is used to clean the instrument. Black case with purple velvet lining. Mute& Swab Rod ~ Great Playing Horn! Description: This Conn New Wonder Cornet was built in 1926. That makes this horn nearly 90 years old. But when you consider that Conn's first cornet came out in 1876, it means they had already been building cornets for 50 years! This particular instrument came with some features that you don't see on every horn of this vintage. This horn can be played in Bb or A. Originally there was a mechanism attached to the main tuning slide that automatically adjusted the first and third slides when you pulled the main tuning slide to the A tuning. This is unfortunately not ... moreintact on this horn, but the hardware that held the mechanism in place is still intact(check out Conn Loyalist to get a picture of an intact mechanism) The micro tuner(aka opera glass tuning slide) located just forward of the first valve also insured accurate tuning for whether you were playing in Bb or A. The valves on this horn are top sprung, and they do not have spring strength adjusters. This horn is in really good condition for its age. Everything appears to be original. The silver plating is in great shape. With small spots missing here and there, and the gold wash on the bell is also in great shape. This horn has seen some work before. The braces from the leadpipe to the bell have both been resoldered, as well as some other joints(see pictures) The bell is in excellent shape; it looks like its never had any dents removed. This horn is still playable too! The valves work smoothly, and pretty quiet. The valve compression reads 65% + on all the valves, and the horn plays in tune with the full rich sound that you'd expect out of a Conn cornet. Up for auction is an antique Victor Conn Cornet Trumpet made in 1922. This is for restoration. The finish is fair, and the cornet looks complete. The plungers all move freely and the valves slide in and out. The case is missing the handle, and it is worn a bit, there are a few dings and dents, but they are small. A few nicks on the lacquer but again; very minor and very few. Pics are accurate and untouched. It isn't perfect- but it is close; especially for a cornet that is 57 years old. This cornet can scream like a trumpet with the right mouthpiece(I've had her up near double high C) or play dark with an almost ... moreflugel-like tone; it's extremely and wonderfully mouthpiece sensitive. The smaller bore size of this cornet is complimented by a lovely. Large 5 1/8" bell; a build that enables this horn to play like a trumpet- or a cornet. The serial number is 572xxx. The horn is predominantly lacquered brass but the valve block is nickel(per Conn) The valves are still quite tight. When pulled half out there is almost no lateral movement but they are a bit slow; I believe they could use new springs. They do show some staining(pic 12) but little wear. The second slide is stuck; it's the only piece on the cornet that isn't working properly. With its age it's hard to believe there is almost no room for improvement with this horn. A video of this model should(soon) exist at YouTube; simply search there for Conn Victor 6A cornet. A delightful vintage. Original Conn cornet case and mouthpiece accompany this cornet. This Vintage J.W. York& Sons"Shepherd's Crook" Cornet is in very good condition for being a little over 100 years old. The s/n 27888 dates this instrument to around 1904 to 1910. The brushed silver plated finish is at least 95% intact with only some minor lacquer wear. There are some scratches and only minor dents from normal wear. The valves are also in good shape with matching serial numbers and the nickel plating intact. The valves work very smoothly. The case is a generic plastic molded case that is not original. It is not an exact fit to this instrument but holds it securely in place and provides adequate protection. A Vintage King M8 cornet mouthpiece is also included. I have for sale a 1895 Conn" Wonder" Worcester Cornet(serial number 31609 with a 0 above it) with case(dated Registered July 1893) and is silver plated. It is in very restorable condition. It does play in the condition it is in. So it is a very good candidate for a very good player if cleaned up and little work. Most slides are stuck except the tunning slide and the valves do work but have a little wear(use Hetman#3 oil for them) It has light denting with some on the bell. Up for bid is this vintage Blessing Scholastic cornet including it's original carry case& mouthpiece. I found this instrument at an estate sale in south Texas so I don't know much about it. The valves can be pressed down very easily. But two of them won't spring back up without assistance. There are wear markings& scratches. Just above the bell is a very small dent. The mouthpiece has Yamaha Japan. 11C4-7C imprinted on it. Imprinted just above the bell is Blessing Scholastic Elkhart. Indiana The serial# on one of the valves is: 341882. The original carrying case has dual latches that are still in very good condition. There are scratches/scuffing. Nothing major. There is a hole on the back right corner of the lid that has been covered with black tape. Up for auction is an antique Lyon& Healy American Professional Cornet Hardshell Carrying Case! This case is in good condition and has two combination locks to keep the case secure. The leather handle is slightly torn. But still holds the stress of the case. The interior of the cornet case is lined with a soft green and red colored material that looks and feels terrific. The green material has some discoloration from use. The exterior of the case has some nicks, but has really held up well and looks great. The case measures 17-7/8" long. 5-3/4" wide. And weighs 5lbs. I am selling my absolutely clean and pristine Bach Stradivarius Model 184L Bb Cornet. This is the most desired model for a professional Bach cornet and has the shepherd's crook and a large bore for the most open and easy playing. It has been completely cleaned and polished professionally and is ready to play. All the slides and valves are perfect and in like-new condition. This horn comes with the Bach 3C Cornet mouthpiece. The original case and keys, a new Ultra-Pure Complete Lube Kit(valve oil and two weights of slide lubes) and a new Ultra-Pure microfiber cloth in dark grey. As you can see from the photos. The finish is bright silver plate and has no wear marks. This horn plays like a professional cornet should- very easy to play in all registers. Very fluid with scales and arpeggios. Nice, warm sound that can be warmed even more with ... morea deeper mouthpiece or brightened with a shallower mouthpiece. Perfect for old cornet solos, brass bands, small group jazz, dixieland jazz, and more. Intonation is excellent all the way up and down as you would expect from a Bach Strad. Compression is like new. It is easy to hold at just 2 lb. 9 oz(1.2kg) and has a 4.75" bell. I added o-rings on the 1st and 3rd slides to make all the action very quiet, and I added o-rings on the valve bottoms to give it even nicer slotting. The mouthpiece is in excellent condition with just the usual insertion marks. I bought this cornet new in about 1997. This is a Civil War era side-action rotary valve cornet(aka soprano saxhorn) of the type commonly used from the 1860s through the 1880s. I would estimate that this instrument dates from circa 1870. It is made of yellow brass with German silver trim. The bell has a Saxon rim with floating garland in German silver. Finish is unlacquered metal. Correct for the period. It is fresh from an estate in Illinois and has never been offered on the market before. CONDITION: This instrument is in rather rough condition. ... moreBut I have seen instruments in far worse shape restored to fully playable condition, and I think this horn would restore quite nicely. The following items are missing and will need to be fabricated or purchased: 1) mouthpiece( see the last two pics for an example- NOT INCLUDED in this auction) 2) removable B-flat shank(see the last two pics for an example-NOT INCLUDED in this auction) 3) one rotor hub screw; 4) two string clamping screws for the key arms; 5) lyre mount tube. All slides pull. All caps turn. Valve compression is not great. But typical for a horn of this vintage and better than I expected for a horn in this condition. And I think that a medium weight oil such as Gunk Super Oil or woodwind bore oil will allow this horn to be played quite satisfactorily without the need for a valve refit. I use that type of oil on many of my Civil War era horns and it works great. There are lots of dents and dings. And some very old repairs made to the bell bow and the mouthpipe(see arrows) In my opinion. Up for auction is a vintage mid/late 1960s professional F.E.Olds& Son Recording cornet I acquired at an estate sale. The cornet is part of the trumpet family and produces a noticeably warmer sound and cornets by this company are considered must-haves by collectors and professional musicians alike. I love to collect and play cornets and trumpets and I tried this one and it plays fine. As you can see in the pics. Still relatively shiny and looks absolutely fantastic on stage. Being vintage it does have rub marks throughout. Could use cleaning/polish. It has about 85% or more of the original finish and I'm usually able to get similarly-aged trumpets to look pretty good. My repairman did a great job of taking out a crease in the bell. All slides move freely and smooth as they should. This is an excellent student cornet. It could be used for occasional concert band. Used for a very special Salvation Army instrument, or for a student of any age. The Warburton 4MC mouthpiece with a 7C on the shank is in the accessory pocket of the new Pro Tec Case. You will be amazed at the protection the case gives. The case now retails for $144.00! The cornet has original lacquer. The bell looks very nice although two long spots are bare where the crease was removed. This is a pretty little cornet that is playable. But does have physical issues. Looks to have been bent at some point as the lead pipe is unsoldered from the bracket. Valve pistons are moving free and springing back very well. Sounds like it has good compression as the 3rd valve tuning slide makes a nice pop when pulled out. Tuning slides are half and half. 3rd and 2nd valve tuning slide are moving. The main and 1st are froze up to me pulling them out by hand. Case is in fair shape. Latches are hard to open and close, but will latch to keep it closed. Bottom 4 feet are missing and just the rods that held them there are still intact(see photo) Must have been a brittle plastic ... morefoot that broke easy or something. So COOL ORIGINALS with this are the Finger Ring and screw for 3rd tuning slide. The LYRE& also the Lyre Holder screw is still in place. Also the original 5* Besson Mouthpiece as well. Conn 12A Coprion Cornet 1948
Conn 12A Coprion Cornet 1948 This cornet is in great shape for being 65 years old. The serial number is 380694. Check the Conn Loyalist website for history and details. Tone This horn has incredible tone and a clear. Balanced sound. The sound envelope is smooth and wide. The 12A can get really loud in tune and if really pushed starts to sound brassy like a trumpet. This is one of the best sounding horns I have played. Finish There are no dents. There are two medium dings and about half a dozen small dings. There is one medium ding on the bell and one on the tuning slide. The rest of the dings are small and located mostly on the yellow brass tubing. Half of the upper nub on the first valve slide is missing. The lacquer on the Coprion bell and main is in good shape. The lacquer on the yellow brass is about 70% with most of the wear where the ... moreleft hand holds and supports the cornet. The bell has a wonderful big art deco style engraving and the original case has an embedded Conn insignia medallion. These extra frills really add to the vibe of the horn. Valves The 12A has vintage Conn bottom spring valves. Please read the Conn Loyalist website on these valves as they can have issues. The compression is good. The valve surfaces are clean and smooth. I used standard Ultra Pure Valve oil which worked great. I did not have to resort to heavier weight vintage oil to compensate for wear. I did need to oil the valves regularly. The stock valve springs are cylinder-shaped. Stiff and non-linear. I replaced them with lighter weight cone springs that are smooth and more linear. This made playing much easier, faster and with less valve noise. Both sets of springs are included with the 12A. One of the valve guides is slightly worn. This creates mild valve noise on fast note runs. The lighter weight springs helped. I also moved the suspect guide to the third valve. I found that using a lighter touch depressing the valves resolved the noise. This is a common problem on the Conn vintage bottom spring valves. Replacement valv

hERE'S A LOVELY CONN"NEW YORK WONDER" cornet in great condition. Gold wash bell. All slides pull easily. Includes original accessories- alternate tuning slide. Leadpipe, mute, springs and two mouthpieces. There is a dent on the 3rd valve slide, and three dents on the crook of the bell, and a couple of other insignificant dings on the bell. Some normal wear and scratches. Otherwise the metalwork is in very good condition. See the pics for condition of the pistons. Serial number is 63064, and the serial number is the same on all three pistons. Conn's website places the date of manufacture at approximately 1900-1901. There is also a"1 1/2" stamped on the second valve casing. Original case is in fair to good condition, worn on outside and inside. Leather is starting to deteriorate. Leather handle is long gone. I am unsure of the history of this item. Through my research on trying to get information I have only found out that this cornet is from before 1970 The exact date I am unsure of. There is a spit valve pad that is missing and when it came to me it had tissue in it's place. I have played this cornet and all of the valves work smoothly. This does come with a silver beginners mouthpiece and well cone. There are a few pieces of sheet music inside the case. The case is not in the best of shape but it does close and the inside door opens and closes fine. If you would like to know more about the condition of the case please see pictures.
