Old Conn Cornet 16A GGC920835 used, several dings replacement case Conn 7BW
Here is an old Conn Cornet Model 16A(Stenciled on the mouthpiece arm) Serial No GC920835. It has seen better years, but is still a smooth sounding horn. The first thing you see is the big ding on the bell. Then there are three smaller dings on the rest of the main horn. Those can be repaired fairly easy. The three values work nice. And so does the tuning slide with the finger trigger. There are some rub spots on the finish that don't affect the great sound. But it could use a new lacquer job. It has a Conn Connstellation 7BW mouthpiece with a rubber cover(for cold weather use. I presume) The spit valves has good springs to them and the corks look good. Maybe just a little dried out. This is a replacement case(from the 60s or 70s) It is rather beat up with the ends coming apart and the handles looking weak on the ends. Plus the latches ... morehave lost their spring. But it still protects the horn. And that's what is important. Will list it with parcel post shipping as it is large and heavy.

1954 Conn Connquest Cornet In Good Playing Condition This Connquest is a medium bore cornet built to play in the keys of Bb and A. Unlike the student Conn Directors which appear very similiar to the Connquest. This horn has a true conical lead pipe that starts at 0.437" and expands to 0.468 in the bottom of the tuning slide and out to 0.484" in the valve section. This gives this cornet a rich cornet tone with an easy response and accurate intonation in all registers. This 20A is easy to blow and has an unusually large tone quality. Clickless"Crysteel" valves are fast, smooth, quiet. Length 17" weight 2 pounds, 12 ounces; bell diameter 4 5/8" This horn's valves have new springs. Pads and corks with a recent valve alignment. This beautiful cornet will arrive in playing condition right out of the box.

Finger Buttons have pearl inserts and are very responsive and fast. Very good Intonation. Both water valves work. The small one is a littel loose and the larger a little tight could need good cleaning and lube. Some wear to finish especially on the pipe connecting to mouthpiece. Some minor cosmetic dents. Beautiful, dark sound accompanies this dark-lacquered horn. A little history of the Elkhart Band Instrument Company: The company was formed in 1923 by Andrew Hubble Beardsley and Carl Dimond Greenleaf. They were at one point the president of Buescher and Conn respectively. The story goes that the company was taken over by Buescher(or merged with) in 1927 and Buescher. 1936 Conn Director Cornet In Great Playing Condition Beautiful Original Professional Quality All Original From 1936 The Conn Musical Instrument Company created and patented the 26A in 1930 to meet the demand for a more typical professional cornet- short in length. Compact in design and having a more characteristic rich dark"cornet" tone. The bore is the large 2 1/2 with a large throat bell, giving it"genuine" cornet tone- round, full, sonorous and mellow. Up for auction. From an estate. This REYNOLDS cornet was in a early Martin case. The case is listed in a seperate auction. The overall condition of the cornet is very, very nice. although there is a nasty dent on the back of the bell proper. I believe this can be fixed if wanted. Other than that, very nice condition, very clean, no pitting or noticeable wear. The finger buttons are pearl. And the tuning slides operate smoothly. Stamped on the bell ~"REYNOLDS- Made By Roth-Reynolds Inst. Co. Cleve. O" The trumpet is also stamped with a serial number ~ 23907 Reynolds on the side of the second valve. COUESNON 1912 CORNET - NICE VINTAGE COLLECTABLE 101 YEARS OLD
Here is your chance to own my cornet. I am selling because kidney cancer is knocking on the door again. This is a vintage Couesnon 1912 Cornet in raw brass finish. It has all the plumbing for the key of C. Bb and A. There is an extra pigtail leadpipe someone collected once upon a time. There are 2 A, 2 C and 2 Bb straight shanks. I had 3 made with the modern taper for the mouthpiece. The original narrow shank mouthpiece was missing when I made the original purchase. The valves were replated and refitted at Anderson Silver Plating in Elkhart in 2005 when the instrument was completely rebuilt. The original case fell apart. It was a leather cornet purse/valise that was common to the era. It was cracked and rock hard and splitting open at the seams. I pitched it as it had no conceivable value as ugly as it was. I will ship it in a leftover case ... moreI found in the garage. This case is whipped but still functions well enough to protect the cornet during shipping. I would imagine finding one this complete(even has the lyre& practice mute) with all the plumbing is pretty hard, near impossible. It was hard to find 20 years ago and now this cornet is 101 years old. There is a grenade stamped on the bell with a 12 in it. This is how a lot of period French instruments were dated. All slides pull, all caps are loose, no dents, clean inside. I played it very little since it was chem cleaned last. If you like old cornets, you will absolutely love this one. In 1930 Boosey& Co. merged with Hawkes& Son to form Boosey& Hawkes On offer is a Cornet which I believe according to the dating system& serial number would have been made around January 1964- The cornet is in very reasonable condition. No missing parts, could do with a spit and polish There is one mouthpiece(Denis Wick.London 4B) There are two areas on the cornet which show some bumps& bruises(Please see photos) The cornet comes in a red lined case. The framework on the inside is good However the red lining shows signs of wear and some discolouration. The outside of the case is in fairly good condition. The underside has more wear and tear than the lid. French Besson cornet. Bell says"28 medailles D'honneur F. Besson brevetee 92 Rue Dangouleme PARIS" On second valve it is stamped"F. Besson Brevetee 12928 Silver plating is in very good condition with just a small spot where the right thumb contacts the valve casing. There is some minor evidence of dent removal but no dents. Third slide is missing the pull button. There is a patch on the inside of the 1st crook. All slides pull. Mouth pipe crook is not original. Plays in C. Director CG Conn LTD. Trumpet Cornet Silver And White Brass With Case Works!
I'm not sure of the year of this trumpet is but it was taken to a local music shop and they told me it was a mix of silver and white brass. Trumpet plays well and sounds good. Mostly great condition but there is a small dent in the horn. I tried to take a pic the best I could. Comes with a matching Conn carrying case hard plastic and lined with a soft cushioned inside. Very nice. Numbers on it read S08522 and the horn says Director CG Conn LTD. If you can find anything more about it like the year of it please let me know. BEAUTIFUL GETZEN 1993 CORNET
This 1993 Getzen Capri Cornet is in like"brand new condition" It comes with a hard case as you see and a 7C Getzen mouthpiece. It was bought in 1993 and used. Maybe three or four times. There are no marks or scratches on it, except for a tiny ding near the finger ring. You might not even be able to detect it, that is how small it is. It plays well in tune and if you look at reviews, it got many, many rave ones. The older Getzen cornets,especially. A great horn at a great price! King Silvertone Cornet. Pro Player. H.N. White Co. Sterling Silver Bell. Ex Cond
Up for auction is this King Silvertone cornet. It has a solid sterling silver bell. The serial number is 226219 which according to the King website dates it between 1939 and 1940. The compression on this cornet is really exceptional.and not just"for it's age" as some Ebayers claim. The valves are exceptional with little wear. Please see photos. Period. This cornet won't need an expensive valve re-lap like so many other used up horns on Ebay. It is a pro player with a beautiful sound and the pitches lock in nicely. These horns work great for early jazz. Dixie, etc. On the downside. As you can see in the photos the lacquer is only about 65 percent there. The lacquer has some obvious wear. Lacquer can be easily replaced if you so desire but I preferred the old goldish patina on the horn so I left it as is. All the slides pull ... moreout, etc. As far as dings, it has a few real small dings on the bell crook, and a few on the underside of the tuning slide. These are very small, not serious and could easily be taken out. I have never touched this horn as far as"touch ups" or dent repairs and it is completely original, with all matching valves and slides, valve caps and bottoms, etc. The end of the Bell also has the beautiful triangular ring on it characteristic of this vintage, as well as the beautiful engraving shown in the photo. The gold wash on the inside of the bell is also in good condition and not all worn off like a lot of old horns. I have not tried to hide anything in the photos so what you see is what you will get. This is a beautiful playing instrument that has some lacquer issues. But otherwise in excellent condition. It comes with the original King MC cornet mouthpiece. I have shipped many horns in the past without incident. It will be wrapped in thick layers of bubble wrap and double boxed to avoid damage in shipment. Check my feedback on horns sold in the past. Two H&B trumpet or cornet mutes in used condition. The H&B cup mute is the best cup mute money can buy. The Aluminium"symphonic" mute is streets ahead of the Denis Wick metal mute. Both mutes are used but have years of life left in them.

Buescher Aristocrat Cornet Made in USA
Buscher Aristocrat Cornet SN 676284 Comes with a hardshell case that looks to be the original. The case has the Buscher logo on one side of the case but it is missing from the other. It also has a silver plated Vincent Bach 3C Mouthpiece. Cornet has a few small dings. Scratches and some player. Most of the scratches are near the bell around the logo. Classic Buescher Cornet
Here is a 1939 Buescher 400 cornet in very nice condition for an instrument that is 73 years old(serial# 289240) It comes with the original case which is in good condition. Especially the interior. Although the latch springs do not work, the latches do hold tightly. The valves are smooth and fast, and have excellent compression. The valve alignment is good, and the felts and corks do not need to be replaced. The slides all work properly. The bore at the 2nd valve slide is.462. This horn produces a big, dark tone. The quality of construction in these pre-WWII Buescher instruments is very impressive. In my opinion the valves are among the best ever made. Each piston is inscribed with the serial number. As well as being numbered to correspond to its cylinder. The bottom caps are also numbered. There is no lyre, nor a finger screw to hold a lyre ... morein place. There is no mouthpiece. The lacquer finish was removed before this horn came to be in my possession. And I have only given the horn a quick hand polishing. The horn does have some very minor cosmetic flaws. The most noticeable. But easily fixed, is the small ding at the top of the crook. In addition there are 2 very small dings lower on the crook, 2 more where the lead pipe enters the 3rd valve, and 1 just below the 3rd valve water key. There are also some subtle marks on the bell between the 3rd valve and pinky hook which suggests the possibility of a repair having been made. I have tried to show these areas in the photos, but these flaws are not easy to see because they are so small. I am offering this fine horn for sale because I just don't play cornet much anymore. And this one deserves to be played.and appreciated both by the player and listeners. Thanks for your interest.

Buescher Cornet in excellent condition w/case- Ready to play-great valves!! Look
Smokey Jazz! A very nice Buescher horn! In picture#2 there you can see the small dent(easily removed)One small ding inside bell. Other than that the horn looks like a time capsule and all valves and slides are good. You can see the valves are clean and not a lot of wear. Probably wasn't played a whole lot. Comes with a King case in good shape or sent alone- your choice. Thanks
