Up for bid is an antique huge industrial ammeter gauge made by Weston Electrical Instrument Co. Newark, USA. The faceplate is heavily embossed and has a riveted data plate showing Patent dates from 1888 to 1898. Also stamped on the front No. 6835. It measures 9 1/2" by 4 1/4" and will ship at 16# The indicator moves freely. It still has the original terminal connections and paper label on the back. I was told it was found locally in an old building of the Altoona, Pa. Pennsylvania Railroad locomotive works. This would be a beautiful display piece cleaned up or restored. NO RESERVE!

This appears to be a very old ammeter or ampmeter manufactured in a pocketwatch style. On the outside front cover underneath the little window is"AMPERES" Then a etching of a crown with"OB" inside, then a curved line with a stylus( etching. At the bottom of the front is"DEPOSE" underneath that"REGISTERED" underneath that"D.R.G.M. underneath that"218725" and underneath that"FRANCE" Inside the back cover is"ARGENTAN" The only fact I could verify is that there is indeed an Argentan, France and they are known for their watches. This item appears to be complete, even with a worn leather case, but my knowledge of things electrical is limited at best, so I couldn't swear to that or to its functionality. I can say with some confidence that it's very old.

Amprobe RS-300 Analog Clamp-On AC Volt Ammeter 0-300A 0-600V w/Case and Probes
This is a used Amprobe RS-300 Clamp-On Rotary Analog Volt Ammeter with case and 2 sets of probes. It has voltage ranges of 0-150/300/600 and amps ranges of 0-6/15/40/100/300. It is tested working. I attached it to a HP 6920B Meter Calibrator and all voltage ranges were very accurate. I tested the amps ranges by clamping of the battery cables of my car and cranking the engine. Although I did not have another way to verify the readings it appeared to be consistent across all ranges. The needle moves smoothly and the dial moves easily between the ranges. The pointer lock button hold the needle securely. The unit is in very good to excellent condition with normal minor wear and some engravings with a previous owner's name. The case appears to be made of leather and is also in very good condition with only minor wear. The latch close tightly ... moreand securely. There a previous owner's name written on the outside of the case in some type of marker. The name may be able to be cleaned off but I did not want to take a chance of damaging it.
