Clarke DU 8 floor sander stator winding
I think this stator is for the clarke DU 8 there are not really any marking numbers it was in a box of clarke sander parts it has dust all over the windings look good. also have a new armature that looks good so that should show the armature is new since it is clean.also there are du 8 parts in the box so I took measurements overall armature length is 11 1/4 and the windings area diameter is 3 inches front mounting plate is 6 1/4 with 6 holes but 2 of those are threaded they are in 2 sets of 3 on opposite sides The stator is 5 by 5 too big for my model b.Also selling clarke gearbox grease any question or help in identifying this appreciated.thanks

You are bidding on a gently used CLARKE Model DU-8 floor sander. It is in excellent working condition with an estimated 30 hours of running time. There is minimum wear with only a few scratches. Also included is a NIB replacement set of drum covers. You will also get 3 boxes of Norton Abrasives rolled coated sand paper(FINE. MEDIUM, and COURSE) There is nearly 50 feet on each roll. All together the drum covers and sandpaper are worth hundreds of dollars. If you are looking for a floor sander with very little wear and lots of extras, don't let this auction pass you by. This floor sander is in excellent condition with nothing else to purchase for years to come. Used sparingly by a former carpet and linoleum installer to smooth out occasional rough spots. I was told it has probably less that 25 hours of run time. It includes 3 boxes of sandpaper in Fine, Medium and Course grit. Those alone are worth a couple hundred dollars as there is nearly 50 feet remaining of the originally purchased 50 feet for all three types. The drum cover is brand new and in the original box. Due to the total weight and number of items to ship, the items will have to be shipped in two separate boxes. Thanks for your bid.

CLARKE DU-8 DRUM SANDER floor vintage sanding refinishing antique tool flooring
This does run but needs a little bit of work. It has one broken belt that runs the drum and the drum mechanism that clamps the sand paper to the drum is locked up with rust so that would need to be taken apart and gone through, most of this is aluminum but the steel parts do have some rust. The drum spins freely by hand and the whole thing rolls well on it's steel castors, it has a heavy duty cord that is a little dirty but in good shape and very long. It comes with the dust bag and I may have the long J shaped tube that connects the bag to the machine but I am unsure at this moment, I will check and update this later. There is also a little corrosion on the aluminum. You can pick up in Farmington, MO. This was not my machine and I am not sure of it's previous life, I believe I have pointed out all that I can that is wrong with it.

Clarke DU-8 armature and field
Clarke DU-8 armature and field new old stock field with used armature with side plate and drive pulleys on it out of working machine. Machine was dropped off a step and cracked the main frame so it was parted out. Field was from a bin of new parts but never used. You know what these cost from Clarke so why not get that replacement or spare at a fraction of the cost.
