This auction is for a Clarke portable sander from the early 20's. It has been plugged in for testing. It works and sounds as though it should. It also comes with it's wooden box carrying case. This is a very rare and unique opportunity for someone to own the oldest sander on the block. Although this item is an"as is" condition auction. Arrangements can be be made for a cleaning prior to shipment for an additional charge. I didn't clean it knowing that some would prefer not to have the century of accumulated crud removed forever. It has been stored in it's box for years. It smells a bit as though a mouse or something made use of it at some point but I didn't find any evidence of such.
