J2957 This is a oak 3 section bookcase with sliding doors circa 1905. It was manufactured by the Danner Company around the turn of the century. John Danner specialized in manufacturing office furniture. It has a extra large and deep lower section that provides 11 inches deep by 22 inches high and 17 inches wide of clearance. The 2 top sections have 9 inches deep of clearance which is standard. All three sections have adjustable shelves. The lower section has a pull out shelf. The bookcase also has a bottom drawer. The top crown section has"egg and dart" trim. The piece has"leaded" glass doors with some beveled pieces. These are really hard to find with all the options on this model. Overall it is 16 inches deep. 37 inches wide across the front, and 85 1/2 inches tall. First time on eBay comes this German made all tin 17 inch banjo. D.R.P.a written on neck dates the banjo to post Hitler 1940's. The banjo has 6 litho tuning keys on head(top of banjo) Gold. Black and red litho diamond pattern go around the base of the banjo. USA pending is on the heel of the neck. There are 4 strings embossed in the tin running down the neck and 2 on the outside of the the neck. The banjo top measures 8 inches across and is 3 inches thick. there is a guage finder with letters and numbers on the top of the banjo. This is probably more of wall hanger more than anything else, but is very unique. I collected musical instruments and this is one of them. A beautiful antique retractable gold filled dip pen that measures 5 3/8” when fully extended. Marked on the pen side H.M. SMITH& CO. Marked on the nib H.M. SMITH& CO. NEW YORK/ 4. In very nice used condition with a tiny bit of wear to the edges(seen when viewed through a loupe) The dark ebony handle looks good with no cracks or chips. The pen nib has a slight bend to it. 1930's fire door 2-1/2" thick 68" wide 92" high on tall side 88" tall on short side. Manufactured by Willis in Galesburg IL. Around the 1930's UL Tags on the door. There is a counter weight attached by a rope to a pulley system that allows the very heavy door to slide open and closed with very little effort. In the event of a fire the rope burns off and the counter weights fall to the floor and the door will automatically slide closed. For sale locally so auction may end at any time if sold. They are different than all the others I have found on eBay or the Internet. Instead of a rounded loop at the end of the earpiece. These have a piece of metal that clamps onto the strap. They are dirty just as I found them and I will not clean them. They are in great shape but need professionally cleaned. I don’t know what type of metal was used and it is not attracted to a magnet. The glasses in both eyepieces are loose but not loose enough for the lenses to fall out. They have been in my possession since 1984 in a box stored in a basement. I believe these quartersawn oak cases have been together since leaving the factory in in Ohio in the early part of the 20th century. In super original condition-we have carefully waxed each section and they look truly beautiful with a smooth and even finish. Penn Antique Restoration. 30.5"x89" Antique Arched Door w/4 Raised Panels(3" THICK! Grand. Antique, pocket door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door is made of solid, old pine and is painted white one side and finished on the other. If you think that pine is a weak. Soft wood; please keep in mind that the wood milled from modern pine trees, which only grow for a few decades before they are cut down, is not the same quality as the wood that was milled by our forefathers from trees that were hundreds of years old. This door was built using the wood from mature pine trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time. As a result, it's physically harder, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and more insect and rot resistant than today's pine lumber. The door has 5. Vintage T-bevel square. I do not see any manufacturers ID markings. Very handy tool for the carpenter to lock on and transfer angles. Rare. Hard to find. About 12 inches long open and 9 inch long when closed. Weighs about 1/4 pounds. Made of all metal with wood handle. Nice wood part of handle. Handle is missing one of the metal corner guards. Metal has some bubble corrosion. Some age and wear as would be expected of this old of an item(see photos for cosmetic condition) I do not see any breaks. Damages, nor repairs other than the previously mentioned missing corner guard on the handle. It is in as found condition and will look even better with a proper cleaning.
