Sankaat is very pleased to present for your consideration this scarce original 18th century English delft chinoiserie decorated plate! Most likely made in either Bristol or London in circa 1730-1740. The piece is somewhat primitively decorated in a soft to deep blue on a purplish blue tin glaze with a chinoiserie pattern of a bird, flowers, and insect. The ochre ring painted on the edge is a direct copy of Chien-lung period Chinese Export porcelain(what this piece was attempting to imitate) The bird and fence pattern was a popular motif for early 18th century delftware, and specimens bearing this pattern can be found in the collection of the Colonial Williamsburg foundation as well as in Historic Deerfield, and Victoria and Albert museum. The case is made out of SyrocoWood and the Cocker Spaniel’s eyes are glass. The case is in excellent condition and the clock is in working order. I just purchased this pair at a local coast estate sale and was told they were very old& have been together for as long as they could remember. I am not an expert on these type of things but they appear to be very old. The detail is very good and not like the copies you see. Each figure has two screws on back side. One on head& one on base. I showed this pair to a friend who is more into this type of art and was told by the thick flat screw and detail there was for sure age to them. Again, I am not sure of exact age. *NO RESERVE* Great Antique Solid Bronze Large 12" Fence Garden Finial Salvage
Here's a Great Antique Victorian Bronze Fence or Garden Finial Standing a Large 12" tall and offered at NO RESERVE! It is in two parts. And the upper portion would have been anchored together with the lower one originally when mounted through a rod which comes out of the base. The rod sticks out just a bit so there is a slight wobble when standing. It would probably be mounted to a piece of wood which would eliminate that. There are some dings and scratches, light paint flecks, and so forth, and it weighs over 5 pounds of solid Bronze(except for the inner rod) Great as a sculpture or many other uses as well, at No Reserve. This listing is for an authentic vintage antique collector's sample of wire fencing. This listing is for a vertical metal fence stay. This stay features a patent by Samuel and Alfred Ide. Dated January 15, 1895. This stay is called"Ide's Punched Iron Strip" by collectors. This stay is made of 1/2" wide stiff strap iron. It is center slit at intervals, and metal on each side pressed into an arch in opposing directions to make a round hole for the line wires. Top is a pair of small round holes one above the other. The strip is firmly clasped to the top line wire with a wire pin clinched to the strip. Stay sample is 18-1/2" in length. It shows age and use wear, with moderate pitting. I am selling a vintage Unico. Redstone 245T, electric fence controller. The fencer is in good condition, has some scratches and color wear but no dents. Used a circuit tester, showed good voltage.
