Green Brayton Laguna Pottery California 9-inch Plate
Beautiful Brayton Laguna Pottery plate in a wonderful shade of green-I would call it"spring green. It measures 9 inches in diameter and is in great condition. The only thing I see is a tiny spot on the edge-probably a glaze pop(photo 5) The plate is signed on the back. This piece displays great and would be a great addition to a collection. CONDITION: Good Condition. MEASUREMENTS: Approximately: 5" height. 3" width. DESCRIPTION: Vintage copper enamel Arts and Crafts bookends have vivid colors of green and dark green in a wonderful arts and crafts design. The bookends were produced at the Craftsman Studio in Laguna Beach California circa 1920s or 1930s. I have not cleaned or polished the set for fear of damaging the bookends. There are light scratches to the copper bookends from age and use. In addition. Mandy is holding a laundry basket and she stands 9 1/2" tall. This is a nice hand-hammered copper tray from the CRAFTSMAN STUDIOS in Laguna Beach. California. I believe it dates from somewhere around the 1920's. The tray has a great patina and measures roughly 16 inches diameter. Brayton Laguna Lady with Two White Wolfhounds Planter/Figurine This a wonderful Planter/Figurine by Brayton Laguna called Lady with Wolfhounds. Manufacturer: Brayton Laguna. This beautiful lady stands over 10 1/2" tall. She has reddish brunette hair. Wears a powder yellow dress and her two dogs are classic white wolfhounds. Condition notes include a small spot of very minor crazing. A 1/8" small glaze flake off of one of the greyhound's feet(repaired by someone) some surface spotting(probably will clean off with hand washing) and the planter has a aged, stained bottom which most likely would clean up with new owner elbow grease. The piece is otherwise in very good condition; however this ceramic planter is dusty and dirty. This collectable is sold in the same condition as purchased at auction. It is in excellent condition with NO damage. Measures 5" long and 4.25" tall. Stamped on the bottom but is unreadable. They used many marks thru the years and some had no marks as well as others being marked by individual designers. Very nice piece. This is a pottery turtle by well known Laguna Pueblo artist Michael Kanteena. The condition is excellent with no damage. The artist put scratches on the surface to give it the look of a prehistoric pottery artifact. I bought this piece directly from the artist in the late 1990's. It measures 6 1/2" long by 3 1/4" wide by 3" tall. Michael Kanteena(born September 1. 1959) is an award-winning potter from Laguna Pueblo New Mexico. He is best known for his pottery inspired by Chaco. Mesa Verde and other ancestral pueblo pottery. Kanteena also makes pottery inspired by historic kachina dolls and kachina masks. His work has been displayed in the Maxwell Museum in Albuquerque, the Wheelwright Museum in Santa Fe, and at many commercial galleries. Hello! here's a nice black pottery bear with a turquoise bead on 1 side(NOTsure if genuine turquoise stone) In nice used condition. it is marked on the bottom ANDREW RODRIGUEZ 1993. there is a white cap M under that but I have the feeling that is not original to the signature. it looks like white chalk. I will not try to clean it up, actually I will not try to clean the fig at all. just don't want to do anything wrong. it is about 6.3" to 6.4" tall. the bear is not new and has some light wear there and there; light scuff marks, light scratches; but I can assure you no chips, no cracks, no repairs. again it is not new but it is in nice used condition. there is a few small whitish specks on the belly(visible in pics) but again not bad enough for me to do anything about it. just a nice bear. there is a little etching on each ... moreside of the small turquoise bead; nothing much of an etching but I thought I would mention it in case in looks odd in the pic.the bear has a nice weight for the size. This is approximately a 1981 Laguna 101. MADE IN THE U.S.A. I has owned this bike since spring of 1982 and we have gone through a great deal together. I personally have never seen another chrome Laguna 101. I have some older BMX magazine articles and this bike is fairly stock. It has WIN anodised handle bars. Tuf-Neck pro-model anodised neck, Tange TX-1200 champion forks, Takagi MX 175x24 crank with a 40 tooth anodised front sprocket and a 16 tooth rear, ACS large flange 36 spoke hubs, Femco double wall chome rims, KKT chome-moly pedals, factory fluted anodized seat post and clamp, Kashimax seat, shimano and mx brakes. Then last but not least red with blue lightening bolt ZAP-PADS. The original tires are Long gone the rear was a very narrow snake belly and the front was a fat snow-flake like design. On a scale of 1-10[ 1 being the worst parts ... morebike and 10 being new] for an almost original bike whos parts are 25+ years old this bike is a strong 8.5 to 9. This bike also has a small tale to go with it if anyone is interested.
