Sears Craftsman No 5270 corrugated wood jointer plane #7C size made by Sargent
You are bidding on one Sears Craftsman Number 5270 corrugated wood plane as pictured. This was made by Sargent for Sears. And is equivalent in size to a Stanley number 7C corrugated jointer plane. It is marked"CRAFTSMAN" in the raised boss behing the front knob. 5270" behind the frog, CRAFTSMAN" on the lever cap, 5268" on the reverse side of the lever cap, and"CRAFTSMAN" in an oval on the iron. Condition is generally good. The body has been partially repainted. Some of the original japanning has chipped off. And whoever did the repainting didn't strip off the rest of the japanning, so the repainting is uneven. The bottom and sides have lots of surface rust, and some yellow paint on the bottom to clean off, but there is very little pitting on either the bottom or sides. The front knob is unbroken but ... moreshows a lot of wear from use or handling. The rear handle has a really well done repair near the top, with a different color wood fitted onto the top of the handle, but since the repair was done the handle has broken about an inch above the base, and there is a large chunk out of the new piece that was added on top. The lower break is a clean break, and would repair quite well. The iron and chipbreaker and lever cap have quite a bit of surface rust, with some modest pitting. There are no cracks or chips or chunks missing from any of the castings, and everything operates properly. SHIPPING: 9 pounds. International shipping will be by Priority Mail. This jointer is a classic right out of a working shop. It's still dusty from use. It is complete with a 1/2 horse power Craftsman motor. The knives are old and need to be sharpened or easily replaced. It is on a wooden base. It runs well and the bearings sound good. A great old machine from the 1960's when Iron was king.

Vintage Craftsman Table Saw Jointer Combo Cabinet
Selling my vintage Craftsman combo table saw and jointer. Both the table saw and the jointer are in great working condition. Not sure how old the table saw blade is. So you might want to invest in a new one, but this one still cuts. Motor works great. Single motor is used to drive both tools. Even uses the same belt. Additionally. These tools are mounted on a rolling steel cabinet in a nice gray color. Table saw and jointer are on the same level so you can push your wood onto an outfeed table. I installed a switch on the front of the cabinet that turns the motor on. This way you can leave her plugged in, and dont have to reach around the back to turn off the saw after your cut or pull the cord out of the wall, to increase safety. This is one of the big daddy of a plane which Craftsman was proud to offer.This plane only needs a box and a new rear plastic handle.Top is chipped as the pictures show. Features a corrugated bottom and even the sides. This would be a keeper plane if I collected planes.I probably only purchase one like this in 5 years and getting so scarce now with all the collectors out there. If you collect Craftsman planes this is the one you need. This plane won't last to long because of its condition and age. They stopped the production 23 years ago. Red colored frog. Craftsman 619.3749 made in USA on the 7-1/4" x 2-3/8" very sharp blade. This plane is ready for use today. It's hard to believe that this plane survived over the years in this condition. Craftsman hold down set 9-3230 for radial arm saws. Table saws and jointers. I have one arm in the picture set to hold the top and an edge and the other arm shows two clamps holding downward. It is generally used by making an auxillery fence for the machine you are using and attaching to your fence when needed. Easy enough 2 holes and 4 screws to hold the clamps. This unit was damaged during initial use due to improper set up of one of the cutting blades. The cutter head was damaged and could be repaired but replacing the part would be recommended. Sears sells the cutter head for just under $44( part# 30747.00) And you'll also notice that the same unit is sold on this site for around $280. If you're handy. These handles were pulled from a Walker/Turner made Craftsman 6" jointer model 102.05600. They may fit other models as well but I cannot guarantee it. The price is for 1 handle plus washer but I have 2 sets available. One has a little more rust than the other. First one purchased will be the better looking one. Craftsman 4 1/8" Jointer Planer Model 113.21861
Craftsman 4 1/8" Joiner Planer Model Number 113.21861 This is a great joiner planer built by Craftsman. It has been well cared for and is in very good used condition. It is clean and everything works as it should. Specifications: 1/3 HP 1750 RPM motor and a 5 inch diameter pulley. The pulley will operate at an arbor speed of approximately 4500 RPM. The jointer pulley is designed to use a standard 1/2 inch"V" belt. In order to make this unit more functional for my use. I built a base unit which contains the motor. The base unit has wheels which allow it to be easily moved from one location to another in my shop and it has a braking mechanism(see photo) which, when engaged, ensures that the unit becomes immobile during operation. Additionally the base unit has a chute which allows for the easy collection and disposal of sawdust ... moreand chip debris. Included are a set of three additional 4 1/8" blades(unused) An illustrated manual of operation and a parts list. Since this unit. When mounted to the chute, is fairly large(34" wide x 21" deep x 37" it would be difficult and expensive to ship. Therefore. This is local pick up only. NOTE: If you don't want the chute. It the joiner planer could be unmounted. However, one would have to remount the motor to another table before using.
