Antique North & Judd Anchor Mark Iron Long Shank Big Rowell Spurs - #8
Up for your consideration is a Pair of Antique North& Judd Anchor Marked Spurs. I am not sure of their age. I know they are very old. I am leaving them as they are. I might destory them if I try to clean them. There is some rust on the surface. Both spurs are clearly marked with the North& Judd Anchor. They have Large Rowells, the Shanks are Long. Other than the rustiness they are in very good condition. They come with the leather straps with the buckles. These spurs are in excellent working condition. These spurs belonged to my stepfather Buck. He was a definite True Cowboy. He did take very good care of his belongings. I do not know if the leather straps are as old as the spurs. The reason I say this is because the leather straps are in awesome condition. Up for auction is a wonderful Kewa(Santo Domingo) sterling silver puff heart with open band by Sam Lovato. This piece measures a size ~8 on a ring sizer currently. But is easily adjustable down a little and up several sizes. Ring measures 1-1/4" long from heart to end of curved band. The heart is 7/8" long by 7/8" wide at the most, and weighs 12.4g. Handmade WADE BRANNON Silver Mounted Solid Shank Curb BIT Slide Ear Headstall
This is a lightly used handmade silver mounted solid shank curb bit made long time bit and spur maker Wade Brannon of Silverton. Texas. It is marked Brannon 128 inside one cheek piece. The headstall and curb chain are new. The bit is steel and is beginning to rust. It is mounted with an engraved nickel silver arrow. The slide ear headstall is oiled heavy harness leather and has a brass cart buckle attached with a brad. The headstall is not maker marked. The bit attaches with latigo lace leather. It has a nylon and chain curb strap. This would be a nice headstall and bit to use. Just add your reins and it will be ready to ride. This is a used handmade silver mounted solid shank mullen mouth bit made by well-known bit and spur maker Pat Vaughn from Shamrock. Texas. It is marked with a P and an upside down V and 91 on the mouthpiece. There is also anoter number that looks like 1512. Pat has been building bits and spurs since 1980 and is listed in Bits& Spurs. Motifs, Techniques, and Modern Makers by Ned and Jody Martin. The bit is steel with a natural patina. It is mounted with engraved nickel silver and brass initials DC. The bit has some marks from use. It is not bent. Broken, or repaired. This would be a nice bit to use or to add to a collection. Antique North Judd Short Shank Curb Bit-Gold in color-Great condition!!
Very nice Antique North Judd curb bit.Its gold in color and not sure if it was made that way or if painted to keep from rusting either way the bit is in great usable condition with some scuffs and very little rusting which is mainly on rings! Bit curb measures 4 3/4" wide and Shanks are 5 3/4" long.The top rings got a slight flare giving you 5" of space on top. Bit is double stamped with the anchor! Please see pics for items condition!
