The metal meat drip tray fits neatly inside the recessed area of the platter. The trivet fits around and underneath the platter. It has rubbery feet and wood handles. From an estate. Here is a wonderful divided dish in the exquisite leaf pattern by SANTA ANITA WARE California Pottery, numbered R-151. The dish is a colorful green drip glaze, with the edge of the dish in moss green, and the inside in shades of green from ivory to dark green. The bottom of the dish is green in a simulated wood grain, with the maker's identification. The length is 11 1/2 inches. And the widest part is 5 1/2 inches. It is in very good vintage condition with NO chips or cracks, just a tiny bit of crazing characteristic of a well-loved vintage item, but it doesn't affect its use. Chinese Rosewood TEA TABLE TRAY for TEA CEREMONY 19.5" long w/ drip tray
This is a very nice tea ceremony tray/ table that I got in China when living there in the 90's. It is made of heavy sturdy rosewood. As you can see it is easily taken apart- center wood piece comes out as well as the plastic drip tray that nests underneath. Tray weighs almost 9 pounds. Dimensions are 19.5" long x 12" wide x 3" tall. I am not sure what the carved characters mean. It has been used for a few tea ceremonies years ago. It has mainly been used as a display piece on a shelf in my living room. Does have some nicks in the glaze that could most likely be darkened with a furniture stain pen. Nicks are just the very top varnish surface and still feel smooth to the touch. Will be packed with a lot of padding. Shipping will include tracking. Teapot Lid is a replacement from another BMP mocha teapot so it's a little too big. Okay for display but not for use. All other pieces have no chips. No cracks, no fading, no crazing, no scuffs, no utensil marks, no stir marks. Wonderful rare matte mocha drop colour which was produced by BMP from 1965 to 1984 but in limited quantities due to low demand. Base of each piece is embossed"BMP CANADA" Backstamp style indicates the set dates c1970's. With the drip method. And hand crafting,no two are exactly alike& this set is light brown(matte) with a dark glossy drip. Pattern called"mocha" very difficult to find! Being hand crafted. This is why the teapot lid do esn't fit from another similar set. The base edges are unglazed red clay. BMP is no longer in production so is increasingly collectible and uniquely Canadian! I believe this tray is called a bread tray.some may call it a serving tray. It measures 11" Long x 9" wide and no cracks or chips except two on the bottom shown in the last picture. There are some utensil marks and a manufacter bubble in the middle of the tray. Some glaze loss on the inside just beneath the foam drip.
