VINTAGE ANTIQUE CAST IRON CLAW FOOT TUB 5 FOOT 1923 (?) + faucet
Local pickup only in Long Beach. CA. Here is a 5' clawfoot tub from 1923(just guessing. Since it's the age of the house) it is in good original condition. There is a large W embossed on underside near drain. The enamel is in great shape. With the most wear on the floor of the tub especially near the drain; otherwise there are just a few light scratches here and there. There is barely any rust or enamel chips along the lip, this tub has aged very well. Please check out the photos for condition. The drain hole has a little bit of rust showing but not much. A rust sealer should keep it from spreading prior to installation. The faucet and overflow holes show little rust if any, see photos for condition. The feet are all in nice shape. But will need some paint as will the exterior if you so choose. Here we have a wonderful and very early ~ DRINKING FOUNTAIN ~ We could not find any other similar examples and imagine it is a fairly hard to find item. It has very good age. From the late 1800's to very early 1900's era we would estimate. It would have most likely, originally been in a park or garden type setting. It measures 30 inches tall and 11 inches wide at the porcelain top. The entire drinking fountain weighs about 39 pounds. It has a cast iron base and a copper or brass fountain bubbler spout. The over all condition is quite nice with some expected wear from age and use. This would make a wonderful garden fountain or an interesting drinking fountain, indoors or out. Two antique highboy water faucets each embossed CHICAGO FAUCET CO-1. Chromed brass is in very good plus clean condition- nice and straight- no dents- no corrosion. Turquoise bakelite/plastic on chromed metal handles marked C.W. Hardware included for bolting them down- standard 7/8" wide mounting hole with a 2-1/4" long thread depth. 5/8" threaded outlets allow you to put on your own screen/filter or not. All good threads- nothing stripped. Very good previously used working condition. Each one measures 12-3/4" long x 7' wide. Each one weighs approx. 3-1/4 lbs. Up for auction is a antique water faucet for a bathroom tub. Bathroom sink or laundry. The faucet will need to be gone through, maybe rubber washers etc. All functions move freely and as they were intended. There is some wear off of the chrome on the faucet as you can see in picture 3. The faucet is solid brass underneath so any wear off will not result in corrosion. The porcelain handles are solid and the words are clear but do show wear. The soap dish is also solid and still holds its shine. These old faucets were made of the best materials back in the day and really just need the rubber washers changed out as any faucet this old would need. This is an antique brass sink faucetby Crane. Crane" is incised on back center. It was taken off an old pedestal sink and originally was chrome. But the chrome plating was removed. It is in working condition, just needs a good polishing. It was completely resored in the 1980s and was in a bathroom that did not get much use. It has a hot and cold handle. No chips or cracks. Measures 6 1/2" wide at widest section and 4 3/4" from back to spout. Measures approx. 3 1/2" high measured from flat section that rests on counter to top. Threads work perfectly.
