I got this nice Mettler Gram Scale from a recent estate. It is a higher capacity model with 1200 Gram capacity. This scale was made in Switzerland. World famous for super accurate time pieces and measuring instruments. The screen on the front measures 100 grams and there's a knob on the left with 11 positions. To measure 1200 grams you would put the selector knob at 11(1100 grams) and get the last 100 grams off the screen. There are 2 red knobs on the back that adjust the screen, one is brightness and the other is focus. The scale sits on 3 points, 2 in front and one center rear. The 2 front are adjustable to level the scale, the rear is fixed. This is a heavy scale, almost 24 pounds. My shipping charge might seem high. But it is accurate for this weight. VINTAGE USED METTLER TYPE H4 160 GRAM LABRATORY SCALE
I am offering up for auction this vintage Mettler Type H4 160 gram laboratory scales. It is missing the hanging weighing dish. I have no way to test the accuracy. It doe appear to be in working order. All the knobs seem to work like they are suppose to. I plugged it in and the light on the scale display works and I gently pulled on the hook and the display changes accordingly. I have no idea how old it is but it was due for service last in 3/75 so I would say it is pretty old. It has sliding glass doors on each side for access to the weighing area. All the glass is in good condition with no brakes or cracks. It does have some paint wear an stains but other than that I can see no physical damage. As I have no way to test it for proper operation this unit is being sold as is. I am no expert on this piece but try and describe my items as accurately ... moreas possible.
