Now the last one is from Miles Craft Tools of Cleveland. Ohio and is a#25A and is 5 1/4" in length and 3" wide. There is some cement residue on the edgers but all are in fine shape. The main part of this auction is the really nice S& H MFG CO. No. 1 jointer tool that was made in Clinton Wisconsin. It definately is vintage and would be a great addition to your masonry tool collection. It is in good clean condition(refurbished) The large trowel has some pitting on it from rust- the small trowel is smooth and in nice condition. The wood handles have been wiped down with linseed oil to preserve the wood.

Exterior concrete needs to have entrained air to compensate for the freeze/thaw cycles of winter and summer. It is used but in good condition. The case and foam is showing signs of aging but it is definitely functional and ready for use testing your concrete. It comes with three. Not one, glass measuring tubes. In the field of concrete. Brass bottom of tool has scratches from previous use. Wooden handle has a bit of a'scorched' area on it. But this isn't very deep into the wood. This scorched area has 3 grooves carved into it. Handle is a little'jiggly' But not too bad:o) Rivets in the end of the wooden handle are rusty color. But are in tight. Vintage Hawaiian-Home Made Concrete Finishing Trowel (Kiawe Wood) Antique Tool!
Greetings! This listing is for ONE antique/vintage concrete finishing trowel. It was hand made by a concrete worker/contractor in Hawaii over 40 years ago in the early 1970's. And was carved from the trunk of hard Kiawe(also known as mesquite) wood for its base. I am not sure of the wood used in the handle however, but it also appears to be hand carved, and was made of a softer wood. Overall it seems to be a well taken care of tool- it was cleaned and refinished at some point, and could easily be put back to work, or make a nice addition to any antique tool collection. For auction is a Vintage Union Tool Co. Concrete Groover. No. 24- cast iron base 6" long x 2-1/4" with a 3/8" deep grooving blade. Tool is signed Union Tool Co. Union NY No. 24. This used vintage tool is in good condition and is fully functional. The cast iron has some typical surface wear for this type of tool. There is also some very shallow pitting or casting flaws but no excessive wear or damage. The black painted handle is in good condition but may be a replacement. The screws are new. Most of the items I sell are from estate sales. Auctions, flea markets, etc. I clean them as necessary to properly evaluate all aspects of the condition and functionality.
