Beautiful pair of feminine decorated plates. Both bought about 10 years agop in an antique shop in York England. The owner though the plates were Darby or Chelsea. However. Only a fine blue number/letter is signed on the back of both porcelain pieces. Signed N.12.59. Each measures 9 3/4in. by 8 3/4 in. Hand painted soft pastel colors. Up for bids is a Professional Quality. HeavyDuty, Vintage Champion Fire Recue Alarm Siren that I picked up at a local estate sale. This nice Vintage Siren appears to be in good working condition. I plugged it in and it started to get very loud. The Siren was made in Chicago. Ill by the W. S. Darby Company, Municipal Suppliers. It has a cool, Art Deco/George Jetson futuristic design look to it. The Siren could use a good cleaning(but I will leave that up to the Winning Bidder) It had been stored on a shelf in a garage was very dusty when I took it down. It fully wired for 115v and is ready to plug in and use. It appears to have been painted silver ... moreat some time in the past. The only thing I can see wrong is there is one screw missing on the housing cover and there is some denting and dinging at the sides of the housing case as you can see in my photos but it does not affect usability. I think with a couple of good body shop tools, you could knock out the dents in a few minutes. There are some spots, some scuffs and scratches to the paint from use and storage. The unit has a length of approximately 12-1/2" No carry case, paperwork or other accessories are included. Only what you see in my photos. Original condition, framed Pennsylvania Quaker school girl sampler which names the town of Darby(located just outside of Philadelphia) Rebecca was born in 1796 to a long-established Quaker family and would have been about 12 years old when she worked her fine sampler. Stitched in silk threads on a fine linen gauze background with classic Pennsylvania Quaker design& motifs. Untitled Document Up for auction is this Reproduction set of 19th century handcuffs with a working key. These Darby style cuffs/ restraints were commonly used by law enforcement. Made of heavy cast iron each cuff has an opening of approximately 2 ½” x 2” The overall length measures 10 ¼” including links. The cuffs are joined by a swiveling link in the middle. The key is included and it works with both locks. There is stamped on the cuffs that has the number 207 and the 207 is on the key as well. Also on the key it is stamped India. There is a tad bit of surface rust that only adds to it's authenticity. Markings are on the key a# 277 on key. Also 2-3/4" NDIA. The key tightens and unloosens the internal screw. Up for auction is an original DARBY O'GILL& THE LITTLE PEOPLE 1959 Gold Key comic book in very good to fine condition which was based on the original movie produced by Walt Disney Productions. This isn't the 1970 reprint. The issue appears complete without any major damage or missing pages. It has a complete front and back cover without any rips. It does have some creases on the binding. This comic is from my sister's collection which was stored in her closet. I don't collect comics. I’m not a comic trader nor do I know how to grade comics. However. This comic appears to be in very good to fine condition. This comic was stored in a non-smoking home. When possible. I will combine shipping on multiple auction purchases. This is an original. WORKING, correct& authentic pair of early"Darby" Froggatt handcuffs- with ORIGINAL matching key numbered 37. Both cuffs and key show the classic Froggatt design; the cuffs with crows feet pattern on the barrels and the key with spade-like shape.
