Neat Old Vintage Conoco Minuteman Half Gallon Motor Oil Tin Can
Up for auction is a neat old Conoco Minuteman half gallon Motor oil can. It is probably from the 1920"s. It has some wear. One side has more wear than the other. The first photo has a rust spot over the"C" in Conoco. Most of the dark areas is hard oil and dirt deposits. I cleaned most of the dirt of with soap and water, it still has some hard deposits of hard oil and dirt; I will let the new owner clean the rest if chooses so. It has the original lid and hasp and the minuteman on the lid and the handle. No extra holes or rust out. I have included photos of all sides of the can. Measures approx. 8 X 5 X 3 inches in size. Vintage Gibson Minuteman 20RVT guitar tube amp - upgraded signal path - Nice!
Up for auction is a very nice Vintage Gibson 20RVT Minuteman tube amplifier. The amp is in great condition. As shown in the pictures. The tolex is in great shape for an amp of this vintage. The speaker is the original CTS speaker that Gibson and Fender often used in the later 1960s. They can handle plenty of power. The tube set consists of 6EU7s. 12AU7s, and output tubes 6BQ5s( EL84s) All tubes are vintage American made tubes. Maintenance has been performed such as replacement of a number of older electrolytic caps. Plus the plug on the line cord is not original. But the line cord is still two wire, not three. All the front panel nomenclature is easy to read. It is a little difficult to read the numbers on the knobs, probably a cleaning or something would do them good. This amplifier has been upgraded to increase headroom. The change is to ... moreconvert the V4 tube position socket from a 6EU7 tube to a 12AU7 tube. The 6EU7 is a high gain tube like a 12AX7. The 12AU7 is a medium gain tube. This allows for more headroom so that the amp is not constantly in heavy distortion mode. Allowing the user more control over when they want to be in overdrive. The change helps make this amplifier more touch sensitive, more useful in a studio, and more useful as a gig amplifier. It sounds good with both single coil pickups or humbuckers. I have tried to describe this item as best I can. Please look at all the pictures closely and ask questions if you have them. If I know the answer. I will answer. Up for bid is a Graco Minuteman 1075 Turbine HVLP spray unit Serial#1-27129. This a 120 volt. 60 cfm turbine and two hoses only, there is no gun included. It functions as it should, has some scratches and residue on it, and there is one place on the cord that has been taped. Please ask any questions you might have. This newspaper came from a collection of an engineer who worked for JPL/NASA for the contractor Boeing aparantly during the 1960's. And possibly transitioning to JPL employment up through the 1980's.
