This is stamped- 4kv Neutral Riser. It is stamped as being made/installed in 1923- See Photos. I was also told that this“was a ONE conductor Pothead…but I’m certainly NO expert in this field and you need to verify this information yourself with other sources and NOT rely upon mine. Lots and lots of close-up photos for you to review and evaluate. The small metal I.D. plate is appro ximately 2-1/8" x 1 wide. The u nit is approximately 14.5 inches long- stem to stern. It is heavy. Vintage GAUGE Gage in METAL HOUSING Amperes Mo 476 WESTON ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENTS
Up for bid is the vintage AMPERES A.C. GAUGE Model 476. No. 99310 by WESTON ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENT CORP. of Newark, N.J. c.1950-60's(best guess) as seen in the pictures/ as described in the title. I know little about it but it appears to be a higher-end piece of vintage equipment. The approx. 2-1/2" diameter x 1-5/8" deep gauge is mounted in a steel sheet metal housing with brass& plastic knobs at top. Glass is real, NOT plexi. The dial face looks to be a brushed metal material and the original graphics/text is perfectly preserved(completely visible, legible and with great contrast) NO scratches or cracks to glass. The vast majority of this piece wears its original enamal/japanning. Most of the exposed steel is at the dial surround(see 3rd pic for close-up) The wires connecting the gauge to the knobs are both present and ... morevery good. Appears to be in excellent vintage condition with NO major defects whatsoever. I think it VERY likely that it is fully functional. Up for auction are 3 surface mounted electrical outlet plugs. These could possibly be Bakelite. The measurements are approximately 1 7/8" wide X 5" long. The wall mounting holes are approximately 3 3/16" apart& visible only on the back side. I see no broken places anywhere on these except around the wiring holes as described below& shown in the pictures. These outlets were all in working order when removed from service but due to age& being stored. They are being sold'As Is' One outlet has a lot of paint on it as shown in the pictures. Please look closely at the pictures as they are a major part of the description. All of the outlets were left in order as the pictures were taken, they were flipped& turned to show various views but always left in the same order so the 1st outlet is the same outlet in ... moreall the pictures, the 2nd outlet is the same outlet in all the pictures& the 3rd outlet is the same outlet in all the pictures. Outlet# 1 has a lot of paint, rough/ broken spots around the edges of the holes where the wires go into the outlet& manufactured by CM. Accuracy said to be ¼ of 1% of Full Scale. Resistance at each range is 1098.4, 2196.8, 4393.6 at 25 Deg. C. 75 V terminal knob was replaced. Crack in Bakelite at upper right of panel at +/ terminal has no effect on the instrument. Some scratches on the box. Leather on handle is strong but outer layers flaking. Wt is 11 lbs 6 oz.
