The Avo Model 8 was standard issue in the Royal Navy when I did my electronics training) All ranges apart from'current' have been tested and are working fine. Vintage 1932 Purdue University Electrical Engineering pennant West Lafayette IN What a fun souvenir to add to a collection of Purdue University memorabilia! To be honest. I'm guessing on the electrical engineering part, butI don't know what else EE might stand for at Purdue. This vintage pennant is made of heavy wool felt. With stitched lettering throughout. The fact that it's wool has led to some altercations with moths over the years. There is one hole about the size of the tip of a ballpoint pen in the black background and three holes that I can see in the lettering and trim. I don't think they will be that noticeable when the pennant is displayed. The very tip of the pennant is a bit blunt. As if the point came off when someone pulled out a thumbtack. On the other hand, the spot that looks faded in my second photo is not- ... moreit's just a stray sunbeam that came through the leaves of the tree I was working under. As can be seen by the label on the back. The pennant was made by the Schloss company in Athens Ohio. The pennant measures about 34" across. Priority air postage to the US will be $3.50.
