They typically output about 40 Watts. By the way. You can tell it’s an 8B, not an 8, by the marking below the speaker terminal(see photo) I hooked it up to my system. Available for sale is a nice Dynakit(Dynaco) stereo power amplifier. Model ST-70. As you probably know, the ST-70 is one of the most popular amps out there. They sound great stock, but have unlimited possibilities when it comes to the many modification that can be done. I used to run an ST-70 in my shop, and absolutely loved it. This amp is in decent physical condition. As you can see in the photos below. The cage looks perfect, but the chrome chassis does have bits of surface rust on it, as do the transformers. I acquired it from a gentleman who had used it from time to time with his 90R tuner and Fisher preamp. And he was kind enough to demonstrate it for me. He said he did a little bit of tidying up. Replaced a few components and fitted a new GZ34 rectifier. He also taped over the old capacitor holes in the chassis, he checked over the control unit and returned it to us. We tested these out for a couple of hours and they both seem to work fine. The valves in the pre-amp are 4 x Mullard and 2 X Brimar. The valves in the power amp are 1 x Mullard GZ34. 1 x Mullard ECC83, 1 x Pinnacle ECC83. I think the 4 output valves are Mullard EL84. Two of these have no lettering visible but they all look the same. The last picture is from our 1963 Hi-Fi Year Book. Vintage Tube Guitar Amp Power Transformer and Gibson E-3021S Choke
Closed down a guitar amp service center a while back and have all these odd parts left to clear out. I've had these parts for a very long time sitting in a box anticipating using them for some project that never happened. The power transformer has no identifying marks on it at all. No mfg codes.nothing. The voltage was measured on it some time back not under load and should be around 275VAC-CT- 275VAC. With one 6.3 VAC filament winding and the primary which is likely 110 to 117 VAC. No indication of the current values. Since there is no 5 volt winding, it must have been used with either a 6 volt rectifier tube or perhaps a solid state rectifier. The choke has been researched as is a E-3021S dated to most likely 1951 or 1961. The inductance was never measured on it and I sold my inductance meter a while back but we do know the choke is ... moregood. Several vintage Gibson and Epiphone guitar amps are shown to use this particular choke(GA15RV. GA45, GA80, others) I think I recall this iron came from the same amp that had been in a house fire. We salvaged some parts and threw the rest of it away.but we were in business for a long time and that would have been a long time ago so I can't be sure of that. You can see where there are signs of where they were exposed to smoke from a source outside the amp.like a house fire. On the other hand. I might not be remembering it right and they came from different amps altogether. That said, the PT is good and so is the choke.at least as much as we can test it at this time. These items have been described as accurately as possible. We need to move these item as well as a lot of other iron that we will be listing shortly. Bids from and shipping to lower 48 states only. USED Fender Blues Jr. 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amplifier. This one was made in the USA. Revision C, green circuit board. Amp is in good shape for its age. It has two small tears in the tolex. Each on the front bottom corners- shown in the close up pics. There are some scuffs and surface scratches to the tolex from normal use as well. The rear edge of the metal chassis is pitting a bit, as seen in one of the pics. If you would like to see anything in more detail, don't hesitate to ask. I had this amp serviced by James Somma at Sommatone amps in February of 2012. He went over the entire amp and replaced the power tubes with a matched pair of JJ EL84CZ tubes. In addition. Item Description Circa 1959 Electrohome amp in excellent operating condition with Sylvania 5U4 black plate, 4 GE 6v6 black plate smoked glass. And 2 GE 12AX7 black plate tubes. Amp has been greatly improved with a larger rubber-mounted power transformer. Added fuse holder with 3 amp fuse, toggle power switch. IEC plug(cord included) large oil power supply capacitor and high grade internal capacitors. This amp has been used periodically for a year and a half as a reference to test speakers and preamps without any issues. The best way for me to describe its performance is"addictive. The bass is punchy and smooth with a clear predominant midrange. Not laid back, along with crisp silky highs to bring out subtle nuances in the music. This amp gave me full satisfaction in all aspects of its performance. For an approximate output of 10-12 watts ... moreper channel with 4, 8, and 16 ohm taps, there were no problems with driving my Altec A7 VOTT speakers at the required 16 ohm input to a listening level of over 95 DB at 25 foot distance. I have tested this amp in every possible way of its functionality and haven't found any flaws. Just that it would be wise to put good isolation feet under the chassis as you would for any high-end amp. Also use and experiment with different interconnects and speaker cables as to not hinder the amp's performance in any way. This is a good amp and you will not be disappointed. Very good condition. I replaced the tubes. Tested it out, and then it sat as I moved to my fathers house and my gear stayed at my house. Hallo, bite hier 2 x Monoblöcke einer Akai M Röhren Bandmaschine modifiziert von keinem geringeren als Bobby Staedel nach Vorlagen der M Roberts Modifikation wie sie auch heute noch sehr gerne in amerikanischen Tonstudios verwendet werden. Die beiden Monoblöcke wurden zu 2 Röhren MIc/Line Vorverstärkern umgebaut. Die sowohl Eingangs als auch Ausgangsseitig benutzt werden können. Gleichzeitig stehen hier noch 2x 3 Watt Röhrendendstufe zur Verfügung. Ich werde versuchen hier mit der Zeit noch mehr infomaterial einzustellen um die Vorzüge des Gerätes besser zu beschreiben. Die beiden Monoblöcke wurden in ein altes Echolette Holzgehäuse eingebaut.Sollten auch darin bleiben weil sie so besser geschützt sind.
