Normal markings on case from use but no damage. Still has seals from calibration service so was not opened. US Navy sticker. Being sold for a retired radio communications engineer. Case is very sturdy aluminum. Uses normal 3 terminal IEC power cord(not included) This unit will be well-packed and ship by FedEx ground within US for $29. No international sales. This an ex MOD Ptarmigan Network HP 334A rack mounted unit(3U unit) With carrying handles. Unit powers up OK and appears to be in working condition. The HP 331A through 334A are fine instruments for measuring THD(Total Harmonic Distortion) over a very wide frequency range. And they are also competent wideband AC voltmeters. At the time they were designed, their THD measurement floor of around 0.01- 0.02% was as good as the equipment they were designed to measure. The 331A and 332A do not feature auto-tuning, whereas the 333A and the 334A do. This is important, because for very high performance use, I find auto tuning to be a necessity. The difference between the 331 and the 332, as well as between the 333 and 334, is that the latter two have built-in AM RF detectors. Restorable Antique Hewlett Packard MDL 200C Wide Range Audio Oscillator 1940's
Hewlett Packard Model 200C Wide Range Audio Oscillator(S/N# A2203) Item is in FAIR overall physical condition and needs a FULL restoration. This item was Hewlett Packard’s 3rd series of their original product and the 200C offered a 4th range that allowed the unit to cover 20-200KHz in 4 ranges. We believe that this unit is an early production unit from the early 1940’s and it appears to be complete. The power cord was old and cracked with bare wire exposed so we cut it off. There is light surface rust on the unit since these early units had very thin paint but with a little steel wool cleaning and some good Grey enamel paint. This unit could be made to look very nice. The last time it was calibrated according to a calibration sticker on the side of the unit was in the very early 1960’s.
