Tubes are checked for shorts, Leakage and value. Minimum DMC& Emissions is 70 and max is 130. This tube passed all tests and came from a working amp. GONSET GSB-201 POWER TUBE AMPLIFIER LINEAR AMP
This Gonset GSB-201 linear amplifier is a massive unit. It has a packed weight of about 75 pounds. The amp is fresh from an estate and I do not know a lot about it. I plugged it in and turned it on and the indicator light does not come on. The meter does not move and the tubes do not light up. That was the extent of my testing. I have no idea what might be wrong with the unit. As can be seen in the photos, the case looks pretty good but does have some normal wear. The 1965 Thunderbass head has the desired and rare 8417 power tubes(100 watts tube power) and sounds fantastic. With Gain. Bass, Treble, and a 3 position tone switch(dark, balanced, bright) on the bass channel and normal channel(2 channel amp) and master volume you can coax great bass or guitar tones. It's also VERY light and easy to tote around. Was recently serviced and has 3 prong power cable. Has all NOS tubes, Bogen Power tubes(the best 8417, they go for $200 a pair) and RCA and GE preamp tubes. Solid State Rectified this amp packs a nice punch. Works great without any problems. This amp is used but has very low hours on it and comes with the AC power cord and a set of Banana plugs for your speaker wires that are not normally included with the amp and need to be purchased separately otherwise. The amp will produce 3.5 watts per channel into 8, 6, or 4 ohm loads and is a very sweet sounding little amp. VINTAGE 1963 GENERAL ELECTRIC GE 12AX7 7189A 5Y3 STEREO TUBE POWER AMP
Hi and thanks for looking. This is a seller ships world wide auction and all are welcome to bid. This is a working pull from a GE console stereo. Worked when tested but. This has sat for years not being used. Uses 1 5Y3. 2 7189A and 1 12AX7. The 5Y3 is a RCA 5Y3GT and the rest are GE tubes it came with. The amp was not intended to be used in a stand alone set up so. It will need mods. It will need a base and is easy enough to make one and can be made from plywood or MDF or better wood like Walnut or. You can find project chassis on line to make it look better but it needs a base as this was simply mounted to small wood blocks in the console and the board has zero clearance and so it needs to have a base at least 3/4" thick, if not more. You will need to add a power cord as it was a 2 pin type and the male ends are soldered to the board ... moreso you could use a plug that has that end. Like ones from this era. The output fir speakers are wires soldered to the board and 1 is loose and needs to be re-soldered so. Adding the base will allow for you to mount speaker binding posts and a power switch as well. Inputs need to be upgraded to better and. They too could be mounted to the base you make/get. This also has a multi section cap. Connect via long wires that needs to be upgraded and these values can be had in new caps you can find on the web but it is working or was when I tested it. These make for great projects and they don't sound too bad with the right speakers and I myself have sold maybe 20 of these and GE got a lot out of this amp as it was in a lot of models and many still are working even today. I have a ton of tube amps piled up and I will have others put soon. I also ship no sooner than when funds reach my bank as well and too this. I believe its a 75. Serial number is B-01226, transformers read 606 5 and 606 4. Powers on then Blows fuses once standby is flipped. I replaced the power tubes and used fast blow fuses. Very hard to come by full-limit amps at that frequency. Two caveats: Requires a hefty power supply of 1500-2000 volts. Parts are expensive but not a bank-roll killer. Also requires controls to run it(see the little black box with pins in the bottom right of pix 7) Manual and parts should be available from Motorola(Mot = Motorola) but also expensive. But once you've got/built the power supply and built/acquired a control box. You've got an absolutely primo amp. Aside from being a head versus a combo. The other difference is that the Deuce has built in Phaser. At least mine does. The Festival actually has built in Tremolo. It seems like with the depth set from 0-6, there isn't much of an effect. However, after a setting of 6, starting around a setting of 7 on the depth, you get quite a range of warble and wobble.from very subtle to super swampy. The rate knob control gives you even more variety with the tremolo, from super slow pulses to super freaking fast! There are two sets of inputs on this head. 1930s Vintage Hammond A-20 tube amp power tone cabinet pickup / ship possible
This A20 cab is from perhaps the late'30s: It is old enough that the makers' badge reads"the Hammond Clock Co. It contains what is probably the original amp(though I can't prove it hasn't been replaced) and a pair of Jensen A-12 electromagnetic speakers. I believe they ceased production of the A20 in 1940. This item is being sold on behalf of an elderly acquaintance. Who added small casters to the base for ease of rolling(they haven't held up as well as the contents of the cabinet! He offers assurance that the item is authentic and in good used condition. The A20 measures about 30 x 27 x 15 inches. It last was powered and ran audio(from an old Hammond organ) about November 2013. So it has been sitting for about a year. There is of course dust and debris that should be cleaned out. A pair of transformers originally from a Califone classroom portable record player. The photos show the size and mounting style. The leads on the OT are about 2" long. And the PT has about 4-8 inches per lead. I am not sure of the details of the OT. But it was designed for push-pull 6AQ5 use and an 8-ohm speaker, so it is probably approximately 8KΩ:8Ω in the typical modest 6AQ5 current range. The mounting holes appear to be 1-7/8" apart. I know a bit more about the PT. 120VAC 60Hz input(Blk-Blk/Red) 6.3VAC filament tap good for at least 2.5A(Grn-Grn) 600VACCT secondary good for at least 40mA(Red-Yel/Red-Red) Mounting holes are 2" x 1-7/8" with about ± 1/8" of play on the slotted shorter dimension. Both transformers were in perfect functioning order last time I used them. Which was about 5 years ago. Amplimo 7B649 Toroidal Transformer for Vacuum Tube Amp Power Supply USED
Amplimo 7B649 Toroidal Power Transformer. Made in the UK. Working and used less than a month for a vacuum tube project. The plastic wrap covering the transformer has some minor scuffs from being installed. The wiring has been cut down from factory lengths but is still usable. The primary(pink/white and brown/black for 120V mains) and secondary high voltage wires have been twisted and protected with electrical shrink tubing. However. If the shrink tubing is removed, the primary leads can be wired for 230V mains. The filament wires have been protected with shrink tubing, as well. The shrink tubing is nicked and scuffed from installation. The 35V leads have been protected with shrink tubing, but would have to be removed to expose the wire leads. Mounting hardware not included. ADA Microtube 100 guitar tube preamp power amp
This auction is for a used NON-WORKING ADA Microtube 100 tube preamp/Solid State power amp. I bought this item as a non-working item with the intent to have my"local electronics guy" look at it and repair it for me. But. I have learned that recently my repair person has had to retire due to health problems and is not doing any repair work for anyone anymore. So, I cannot repair it myself, so I am selling it with the hopes that someone else might be able to repair it. There are no other repair places around my area that I know of. The unit powers up, but does not pass a signal through to the outputs. Here is what the person I bought it from had to say about the unit: About a week before it stopped passing signal I was using it at a gig and after about an hour from the time I turned it on(all was fine) it stopped passing signal. It you or someone you know is a electronics repair guru it might be worth a shot to repair this unit. I currently have a working Microtube 100 in my rack now and it sounds great. I have seen the schematics for this amp available on a couple of internet sites so that might be helpful to the person repairing this item.
