Michaelson and Austin EL34 Tube Power Amp - Tim de Paravicini Design
Up for sale is a very rare(especially in the US) Michaelson and Austin TVA-10 power amplifier. This was designed by Tim de Paravicini after he returned to the UK after his Luxman stint. Who is also famous for his EAR Yoshino products. The"Michaelson" is Anthony Michaelson, who went on to start Musical Fidelity. This amp is a cult classic, and mostly unheard of in the US. After Michaelson and Austin's demise. The designs were taken over by Mentmore Industries, and Mentmore continued making TVA-10s. Mentore's line was taken over by Papworth Audio Technologies, who have further developed the designs, and are still in existence(at least a web site) I believe they can still provide things like transformers, if they are ever needed. EICO 2510 single-ended 6bq5 tube amp w/rebuilt power supply
Eico 2510 single ended 6BQ5 receiver. Internal amplifier is the same as the Eico AF-4 6BQ5 single ended 6bq5 amplifier. No balance pot. Just twin volume controls. The restoration on this amp was focused on SOUND- not appearance or FM. The power supply was rebuilt with new caps& chokes. A new grounding type power cord is installed, along with expensive high-quality tubes. The 6BQ5s are early Sylvania black plate with screen dissipator. Mullard(Hammond label) EZ81 rectifier, Tungsram E80cc(worth $50 per pair& replaces 12DW7 driver tubes for a sonic upgrade) Rest of tubes are RCA including two expensive 6HS6. Purchase as a sweet-sounding. Reliable amp at a much lower price than some of the fancier ones out there. Look elsewhere for FM. But it's great for producing a sweet tone and clean sound. FM doesn't work well. As those components ... morewere not restored. This isn't the prettiest or cleanest looking vintage amp(I've kept it in a cabinet where only the face is visible. Anyway) one of the cans on top is a bit crooked, and there's no cabinet or top cover. I've been told phono input requires a seperate phono preamp for a record player as the Eico was designed for high output cartridges. Since I don't even know how to answer questions about that. Just purchase it to play CDs through the AUX source, unless you feel confident that you know what this means better than I. Demeter VTHF-300M All-Tube Boutique Power Amp with brand new matched Tung-Sols
Cash flow problems and an irate wife require me to sell this work of art. I am the third owner. I got it six months ago and after a brand-new matched octet of Tung-Sol 6550's($300 with 24-hour burn-in) and a quick biasing this amp purrs and roars. It is remarkably easy to bias as each tube has its own bias control. Build quality is top-notch and inside it is neat as a pin. Very quiet. I have run it after several preamps and no matter what I throw at it. It makes everything sound good. There's something about the sound of eight matched 6550s and three E-H 12AT7s. It breathes. Demeter says you can use it as an ultra-high end hi-fi power amp for a home stereo system. And I believe it. The only thing is I am missing the cover plate for the bias controls, which is how it got to me, and two of the eight screws which hold the cover on, but ... morethe cover is totally secure as it is. There is an optional cover for the bias controls available from Demeter, but I never really saw the need for it. It has been babied since I've had it, never exposed to cigarette smoke or gigged, or even taken outside. I am listing this with a low starting bid and no reserve. Allied-Knight Vacuum Tube 25 Watt Basic Amplifier A very well designed Tube mono power amplifier from the late‘50s. High-Fidelity. It’s been mostly in the closet the last 37 years. Bench tested and works great. I played music and tones for several hours. Output is extremely quiet with no input signal. Volume pot cleaned and quiet. All tubes tested except EF86 preamp had no data on my tube testers. Pins cleaned and straightened. All original Mullard tubes tested very good with a Hickok model 600 tester. 490 volt multi stage power supply with filter choke. Adjustable damping factor in feedback circuit. Output Bias balance adjustment. Amp clips at 32 watts with 8 Ohm load. Power transformer has been replaced by me with a new replacement supplied by Allied in 1978. Slide type power switch was replaced with a toggle switch. Also added neon piolet ... morelamp on front indicating DC voltage ready. Chrome on chassis has some minor pitting/fine scratches that is noticeable when the light hits it just right. Output tubes. EL37. Driver tube. ECC83. Preamp tube. EF86. Vintage 1930s Philharmonic Tube Radio W/ Power Amp
This vintage E.H Scott Philharmonic tube radio is from the 1930s somewhere between'37 and'38. I don't think a bigger radio was made back then. This was the Rolls Royce of Cadillacs. The original model would have come inside a custom hand built cabinet with a special speaker(not included on this listing) and the power amp(included in this listing) that would sit inside. This radio would make a good restoration to working order project or a nice conversation piece(like it is now at my house)

Working Heathkit AA-111 Stereo Tube Amplifier(Please note that the GZ34 rectifier tube pictured is"not" included in this auction and the price has been reduced accordingly) It does however come with(4) matched JJ EL84/6BQ5(with very low hours on them) 2) RCA 7199's. Again just so there is no confusion. Please note that the GZ34 Rectifier tube pictured is my own personal rectifier so it is"not" included in this auction, so you will need to supply your own GZ34/5AR4 rectifier before use. Many new parts have been installed like hermetically sealed K75 Russian PIO coupling caps bypassed with Mallory orange drops(K75's sound superb. Better than the K42 or even the K40's in my view as I have tried the others as well) some smaller polystyrene caps and so on. The result is a very warm and British like sound. Cosmetically the cage is in fair shape as it has some dents and small tears in the metal. Chassis is in decent shape overall with some scratches and minor dents. DYNACO Dynakit Stereo ST 70 original tube power amp amplifier EL34
This is a Dynaco Dynakit Stereo 70 Amplifier. Original condition. Not messed with. I brought it up very slowly on a variac after it had been sitting for some time(it came from the estate of an audio enthusiast from which I have listed a few items and will be putting more on, like the AR turntable shown in the video below) One of the EL 34 tubes did not appear to be warming up, so I bought a newer replacement Electro Harmonix to replace it- I'll include it along with the the'bad' EL 34. Not a perfect match but certainly was OK for demonstration purposes. You can see where the chassis was wiped off by the new tube, there doesn't look like there any pitting- I left the other tubes(all look like Dynaco branded) in their sockets, so further cleaning is up to the new owner. Sorry about the dust, but it is included. Good lettering. ... moreThe cage has a few spots, but the corners are all straight and sharp and it has no dings. I do not have screws for it, so it just sits in place. It is missing two of the small plastic feet that don't look like they do much anyway to keep it from scratching furniture. The input jacks are solid. The cord is original and dirty but is functional. Shipping will be via Fedex or USPS and will be to US only, no PO boxes. I plan to leave the tubes in place and pack the inside of the cage to protect them- it will be bubble wrapped and boxed and then packed in an outer box. Expensive to ship? Yup. For sale is this good tested Triad 7854Tube Amp Power Supply Transformer dual primary to 700VCT and 6.3V for 6L6 pair. size is about 2 1/2 x 3 x 3" 1" = 2.54 cm) The white tag is around two 120v primary wires. That produces 700VCT on the 3 red wires. And 6.3V on the green wires. If you series the black and white primary as shown(black and white soldered together) And apply 230v to the other black and black/white, It would be 230V primary(or if you run 120V to those wires. Half the secondary voltages) Should be good for about 60ma DC. Enough for a pair of 6L6s and a few 12ax7s.

NOS Hytron(CBS) 6V6GT Vacuum Tube Power Amp Tested 2300 micromhos There is/was a crack in the base. This is common and does not affect performance. I did seal this after I took the picture with a line of super glue. TEST RESULTS ARE FROM A RECENTLY CALIBRATED HICKOK 533-A The reading here is actual results rather than a percentage value. Emissions(mhos) GM measured DIRECTLY in micromhos. All used tubes will come in white, individually labeled white boxes with recorded emissions. Minimum for a 6V6 is 2100. Tested power transformer. Original amp had three preamp tubes. Tube rectifier, and 3 6v6s(two in push pull and a third as and oscillator) All taps are labeled. B+ with center tap, 5v, 6.3 heater, and primaries. Weighs nearly 7 pounds. Mounting bolts a 2 1/4" and 2 7/8" on center 430-0-430 unloaded.

This is a early. Stock mesa boogie 50/50. It is in perfect working condition and has newer groove tubes in the power section. There is a dent in the chasis in the rear near the fan. It Can probably be bumped out. There are some scratches on the face plate and the usual rack rash. Comes in a heavy duty RoadReady brand 2 space ata case.
