This unit needs display work. Other than the display. The unit is fully functional and looks/feels new. I've owned and used it for 10 years now. About 2 years ago the bottom half of the display started occasionally blacking out. It appears to be a capacitance issue with the LCD's ribbon cable. Opening the unit and fiddling with the cable appears to fix the issue, temporarily anyway(I've thought I've fixed it several times now, only to be disappointed. Anyway, I'm selling as is and will include the manual and carry bag. Probes are NOT included. It's a great little scope and I know there's someone out there who can repair this very easily. Take a close look at the pictures and you'll see both channels functioning properly and the self tests pass as well. Two of the pictures show the display functioning properly. ... moreThe problem. As far as I can tell, is related to copper tape that's wrapped around the display's ribbon cable connector. Lightly touching the tape will cause the bottom half of the display to turn on/off, which indicates a touch capacitance-related issue, or possibly a flaky connection. Either way, all major components on the unit are functional and the scope can be used as is, or parted out.

Tektronix TDS 644A 500 Mhz Oscilloscope. For Parts, Partially Powers Up
Tektronix 500 MHz 4-Channel Digital Oscilloscope FOR PARTS. AS IS. Does not completely boot up. Screen display is dim. When powered on. The oscilloscope cycles through the self test and begins to boot up(you can hear the relays clicking on the attenuator assembly) But toward the end of the boot up process, the display screen freezes with a line at the top(see photo) and the 7-segment display on the processor board alternately flashes the top and bottom left side segments as it would during a normal boot(see picture) Using the Tektronix Service manual. The voltages inside have been checked and are in spec. The capacitors on the aquisition and processor boards have been replaced and the boards cleaned, but the problem remains. I suspect that the battery in the NVRAM is low and the checksum is bad. The Tektronix service manuals offer no help ... morefor how to fix this problem other than"replace the processor board" Also. Heathkit EF-2 Oscilloscope Trainer kit UNASSEMBLED– manual missing
For your consideration is a Heathkit EF-2 Oscilloscope Trainer kit. This kit is unassembled but is missing the manual. A copy of the manual can be purchased online. Since I don’t have the manual I can’t check the parts against the parts list. However. The bag of loose parts has the tiny rubber band on it that Heathkit often used and my guess is that most if not all of the parts are there, but again, I can’t be sure. The chassis is still in its plastic bag. Includes a hard to find Heathkit nut statrter and coil slug tuning tool. Hitachi V-355 35 MHz Dual Channel Oscilloscope With Probes and Service Manual
Very Good Condition This oscilloscope has been gently used in a clean. Dry environment. To the best of my knowledge all functions are working. I've never found any issues. It was treated as a respected piece of test equipment and the few cosmetic imperfections are very minor. This scope was professionally calibrated some years ago and has seen light use since. Includes AC power cord. Probes Included! I'm including the original 1X/10X probes which came with the scope. Which are in good working condition. Operation and Service Manuals Included! The service manual was purchased directly from Hitachi. Note that the model numbers shown on the service manual are different from the V-355. But this is the correct manual per Hitachi. The manual is in English, and the information matches the V-355. My understanding is that there are some cosmetic ... moredifferences, and that models sold in the U.S. had different numbers.
