Just ignore those features and it's a great scope. 1.5 GHz bandwidth per channel 50 ohms or 1 Megohm input impedance and 4 Megasamples deep. The sample rate is 2GS. With appropriate combiner modules you get 2CH 1.5GHz@4GS 8MS deep or 1CH 1.5GHz@8GS 16MS deep. which is great for single shot work. A PP096 combiner is included which combines CH's 2& 3 to a 1CH 1.5GHz@8GS 16MS deep. Also included are 2 AP020 1GHz active probes which were purchased new and used once to check them out. Tektroniz TEK 453 oscilloscope and probe - tested
This is a working. Tested Tek 453 oscilloscope. It has not been recently calibrated, but all channel and trigger functions work. I have tried to take representative pictures showing traces on both channels and triggering in alt mode. I have also provided pictures showing the scale illumination and a relistic trance intensity in focus. One picture shows that the trace can be made much brighter(demonstrates the health of the CRT) but that intensity washed out the scale for practical use. I am including 2 non-original tek probes, a 6105 that works and is complete, and another 6000 series that DOES NOT WORK, but used to. perhaps there is a fix, perhaps not. You can see that the face and controls are clean and not abnormally scratched or dinged. The screen and cover are also in clean condition. I did not have an original mains cable, so I made ... moreone of a new extension cord and right angle socket- needs to be right angle to pass under and allow the scope to stand on its legs. I used this Oscilloscope camera as I was setting up my home computer lab. In addition I found it great for doing close up photos. The F1.9 Ilex lens. Is mounted in a Elgeet 3X Shutter which was made in Rochester, NY not far from Eastman Kodak where I worked. It has vertical shift and if the lens was removed from the unit, it would make a great view camera or graphic addition. The Polaroid back could also removed and reused. The 7000 series are still popular because they proved to be durable and repairable. The 7B15 timebase plugin has had a long run from 1978 to 1992. They are recommended for mainframes that have about 400MHz or greater bandwidth. Its trigger bandwidth is 1GHz. 7B15 can be used to delay a 7B10 or another 7B15. Working nicely as shown. V/div tested all settings both channels. Passes all of it's tests. Nice CRT. The most troublesome capacitors in the power supply have been replaced. So there shouldn't be any surprises with use. GPIB allows plotter control for HP plotters such as the 7470A and 7475A. Item pictured is actual item tested.
