This is nice because then you can do simple tests without an expensive separate RF generator. In the photo you can see I have set it to generate an RF carrier at the input to a directional coupler(not included) and I am measuring the spectrum at the other port at the same time. General Radio GR-1157B 500 mhz. Prescaler, Frequency Counter, Electronic Test
This is a gem. Until very recently when I acquired a counter which will work at 500mhz. I used this to get there. It is very sensitive and I will miss the level meter on the front. The switched attenuator is handy also. I checked it out and it exceeds all basic specifications. It counts to 570 mhz. and only needs 55mv at 500mhz. for stable triggering. The spec. is 100mv. I've owned this for nearly 30 years and it has never failed me. GR made some solid equipment. It comes with a GR-874 to BNC adapter. a power cord and a Xerox copy of the manual. S/N 00171.
