I have no knowledge how to test this unit. I offer it here on eBay because it looks like an expensive item someone may be looking for. There are no smashed. Dented, burned or missing parts so I imagine it does work. This came out of a Tektronix Type 545, as shown in last two pictures. Too heavy to sell and ship whole unit, so will be parting out. This auction is for the unit only, and does not include the oscilloscope that is shown in the last pictures. This came in with a couple of large, older oscilloscopes. Looks like it has all of the parts inside, but I don't know exactly what needs to be here, so just took a lot of different pictures to give an idea of what is there. It is a removable unit, and plugs into an oscilloscope, then gets locked in with the turn of a knob on the bottom center. Lots of different knobs, tubes, etc. Somewhat dirty. Was a garage find.
