For sale. A Curtis Brand, model ES-100 Air Compressor Pump only, no motor, tank or controls. This pump is good for 37.7 CFM@ 125 PSI if run with a 10HP electric motor. It is very clean and well maintained. It runs.Three cylinders, single stage with a 95-125 psi rating. Probably at least 20 years old. It weighs around 267 lbs. and is made of cast iron. I comes with it's fan wheel, belt guard and belts. It was built in the US and is far superior to what is available today. This pump is a very expensive unit if purchased new, due to it's quality. This pump is being sold"as is" It will have to be picked up or shipped by a freight carrier. A crate or pallet will be made. I try to use ABF Freight as a shipper, works out well every time. Vint Large 1954 Curtis Air compressor 80 Gal Tk MAXWP 200Lbs With Peerless Motor
This compressor is in very good Untested condition. Aprox 26"W x 72"L x 53"H. It was running when it was put away a number of years ago. Since then the farmer who had this has pasted away. The compression is very very strong when you turn it by hand you can hardly move it. You can hear the strong suction when you turn it by the belts or pulley. The tank says 80 Gal NATL-BD44274 MAX WP 200Lbs MAXTEMP 400DEGF. The motor says Peerless 3Hp 1750 RPM 3PH 220/410 Volts Frame P225 B Design. It was found in a old barn in Wisc by his nephew who took over the property. I took a lot of pictures so you can see what you get. No shipping pick up only. Rare Pat. 1904 Curtis Monotype Air Compressor, Great For Making An Engine!
Here we have a Curtis Monotype flat belt driven air compressor with a patent date of 1904 on the head. It has a 24" flywheel. Has no cracks, breaks, or repairs on it, and it feels like it will compress air if you hooked it up to a tank. It is missing one of the two crankcase hand covers, otherwise it is complete. I've always planned on making this into an engine, the crankcase is dry, the piston comes down far when it's turned over, and the crankshaft sticks out the back with a small pulley on it, a perfect place to drive a side shaft. It`s being sold with the cart it`s bolted to. It is only available for pick up here in Wilbraham, MA 01095, or for $40 I can strap it to a pallet and bring it to the local Fastenal store as long as you pay for and make the arrangements for shipping. The tank measures 48inx19in. Can be anywhere from 60 to 75 gallon tank. The max tempature that the tank can with stand is 406 degrees. The numbers that are stamped on the tank and motor is NATLBD3381 on the tank and 9057-7664 on the motor. This auction is for a Curtis Brand Air Compressor/vacuum pump manufactured in the early 1920's. This unit was removed from service during a remodel and was in working condition. This unit was powered by a three stage electric motor(available in a later auction) and maintained line pressure on a three story buildings sprinkler system. This unit appears to have been repainted at some point in its history and will need a new connector to fit into your system. This unit is in working condition and has good compression. This compressor is about 25 years old. Has Briggs and Stratton 11hp gas engine and Curtis Toledo compressor. I rebuilt the carb and cleaned gas tank last fall. Started to paint but did not finish. It needs the carb fine tuned. I changed oil in engine and comp. also it needs some linkage adjustment to make it idle down after pressure builds up.
