Old General Fire Extinguisher Air Pressure Brass Gauge Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam
This is an old original brass air pressure gauge with the"General Fire Extinguisher" company name on it. These generally came with air compressor setups from the early 1900's. The gauge is all brass and has been nickel plated but most of the nickel is gone. It would polish up very nicely. It measures about 5 1/2 inches in diameter and about 1 3/4 inches thick. It is missing the screws that hold the works and the face to the case. Other than those fasteners along with a little cleaning this would be a very nice gauge. It goes up to 250 lbs. These original gauges are rather tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one don't miss it. They certainly look better than any modern gauge! Here are a couple of gauges which I am selling"as is" because I have no way of testing. My guess is that these probably don't work or they would probably be in use on something then again someone could of replaced a gauge for a different reason too. One gauge says Vacuum. Metal case, glass front goes from 0 to 30. It is about 3 3/4 inches across, some rust and spots, and it says Marshaltown, Iowa. Does have some fittings below. The other one is smaller, metal case, glass front, don't really understand the fitting underneath kind of solid piece brass fitting, seems like something coming apart inside, Marshaltown, Iowa. This is 2 5/8 inches across, goes from 0 to 100 but on the bottom it has other numbers so I don't really get it. I have no idea if these work so I was aiming for the steam punk decor type market. You can see the base brass in the small scratches in the photos. this is proba bly a clip on gauge. Used on air pressure systems on many railroad cars and locomotives for many years, probably on the braking system. the supplier name is not on the gauge, but many different suppliers made these over the years, all interchangeable, maybe ashcroft, or u s gauge made this one. I put some pressure on each of the 1/4' connections. And the pointers moved, but I do not know how accurate the readings are. one pointer is red, the other white, and the back connections are marked R and W to id the right one will fit in the medium flat rate box for $12.95 if that is better for you maybe steam for steampunk fans of earlier industrial age

Strato Locomotive / Train Equipment Air Pressure Gauge for Brake Lines.
This air pressure gauge was my uncles. I know they work on both train and semi-truck air lines. I do not know the specifics on it. There is a calibration chart on the back with 2008 on it and an ID no. 38105 This one came from a rail-worker in the family and they were used to test the brake lines. I know they are not cheap. Because of the patent on them they are still pretty expensive. Make me an offer. It looks brand new. I know anyone who works on the railroad would really value having one of their own to carry with them.
