Ingersoll Rand DXR800 Refrigerated Compressed Air Dryer For sale- an Ingersoll Rand DXR800 Refrigerated Compressed Air Dryer. Physically it is in decent shape as best I can tell. But was sold to me with the note that the manifold has holes in it. I’m not in the AC business so I don’t know the terminology. But I am guessing if the cooling manifold has holes in it the refrigerant(R22 in this case) leaks out. So it is being sold for parts or repair only. The unit was manufactured in 12/99. Serial number 99MDXR7008. I was thinking that I could get my brother in law. A commercial refrigeration guy, to refurbish it, but noting now that it requires 400 volts, 3 phase AC which I don’t have access to, I don’t think he could fix it without it being powered up at some point. So I am selling it as is. And again as is means it probably doesn’t work. It ... morewas palletized on its side as you see in the pictures when I went to pick it up. Not ideal but I wasn’t in a position to do anything about it at the time. I will at least try to stand it up once I take it out to the warehouse and have access to a forklift. I was only able to find one reference of any value to it online. Somebody has one here. Presumably working, for $2650. They show the weight as 1300 pounds but having opened it up just to take a look I can’t see it weighing nearly that much. I may change my mind when I try to stand it up. But for now we will use that as a shipping weight. It trailered awfully well to be that heavy though. While I still have it on the trailer I could potentially deliver it myself up and down the east coast. This is a large Air Techniques Compresso-Air Oiless Dental Compressor with dryer system. It is a 230 volt system with two 2 hp motors and 3 cylinders on each motor. I rigged up a cord and it runs perfect and super quiet for a compressor this size. Each motor is controlled with individual switches so one or both can be used depending on air demand. Quickly builds pressure and shuts off at 100 psi and comes back on again at 80 psi. I called Air Techniques technical support and I was told this compressor is approximately 20+ years old. Evidentily one of the compressor motors has been replaced as some time along the way which accounts for the compressor motors being two diffferent colors. According to the technician ... moreI spoke to this compressor is suitable for a dental office with 5-7 Dentists. There is a dryer system to remove oil and water from the compressed air and deposits the oil and water out a small tube near the bottom. As near as I can tell this dryer system is working. When tank pressure is reached and the compressor motors stop you can hear the dryer system expelling a small amount of air out this small tube for a minute or two. I let this compressor plugged in for several hours and I can detect no leaks. I didnt really run the system long enough to actually gather any condensation to check the dryer system. I have no reason to believe the dryer system isnt working. According to Air Techniques many parts are still available for this machine. Currently this compressor is strapped to a wooden platform with 4 wheels. Two of the wheels are missing the rubber. The blue cart in the listing pictures is not included.
