This is a Kaeser model BS60 rotary screw air compressor. It is rated at 178 cfm. And set up as a high pressure unit- 190 psi! The pressure can be set down. It is currently set up for 230 volt 3 phase but can easily be changed to 480 volt by switching a few wires in the control cabinet. This compressor includes shutdown protection for high temp, low oil, motor overload and wrong rotation. New in 1997, it is showing only about 45000 hours run time, and only 23000 hours loaded- which is NOTHING, Kaeser designs their compressors for a minimum of 100000 hours before overhaul. We changed the oil and filters, good to go! The only issues I am aware of is the struts which hold open the top are a little wimpy and could be replaced, and there is a hole in one of the back panels where the previous owner had ducted the intake outside of his building. ... moreKaeser builds one of the best air compressors in the world, and this is a good example. It was originally on a pressure washer that the pump went bad on so I don't need it anymore. Good replacement engine for pressure washers. Go karts, or anything you can imagine. These are good strong engines. It does have a couple minor issues but they are easy fixes. The wire has pulled out of the on/off switch($6 part on ebay or solder it back in place) and the low oil sensor is bad. You can replace it if you want but the engine runs fine with this switch unplugged. Just maintain the proper oil level and you're good to go. Engine doesn't smoke or burn oil. Engine has a 1" shaft. It is powered by a 212cc Gasoline Engine. The flowrate of this compressor is 4.5CFM. The rated pressure is listed as 7000psi. I have tested it to 5000psi. And it works perfectly, with no problems whatsoever. This compressor would work perfectly for filling SCUBA or Paintball tanks. This compressor was made by Bristol for the US military. It is all cast iron and stainless steel. If you need a rock-solid high pressure compressor, it doesn't get any better than this. The military paid $21,709 for ... morethis compressor, and they never used it. This compressor has less than 200 hours! I was actually going to keep this one for myself, but I decided to sell it instead. I have used this compressor several times for filling paintball tanks at scenario games. This is the best compressor Bristol ever made, and personally, I absolutely love them. I use one of them in my shop as my primary HP compressor for filling paintball tanks. This compressor was originally driven by an electric motor. I removed the compressor from that frame and fabricated this frame to power it by the gas engine. I have also installed a moisture separator and an adjustable high pressure cut off switch. It is currently set to cut off the engine when the pressure reaches 3500psi. It does not have any SCUBA filtration. If you are going to breathe this air, you will need additional breathing air filters. This compressor runs beautifully. It is very, very smooth and quiet. Ingersoll Rand Type 30 Mod 223 High Pressure Air Compressor Scuba Paint Ball
Offered for sale is a High pressure three stage air compressor suitable for breathing air. It is rated at 5 CFM and 3000 PSI. It was totally rebuilt about 15 years ago and was never put into service. It is dusty from dry storage but otherwise in as new condition. Included with the unit is a bank of two filter/drier canisters that is in as new condition although dirty(see photos) The Ingersoll Rand manual, and an 8 foot 5000 PSI air hose with fittings. Power requirements are either a 5 HP electric motor or a 6.5 HP gasoline engine. I will securely crate the unit and deliver it to the shipping company of your choice within 50 miles of my location at no additional charge but you must pay the freight charges.
