This is a purpose designed semi-automated(by semi-automated I mean it must be attended to while in use) filter for use with Standard Screen Scales(both 8" 12" Using a*not included* vacuum. One would put unfiltered material in the screen scale(about a cup at a time) place a plexiglass lid on screen(to create a vacuum) run the rotating wand whereas the air pulled through the machine would disturb the material in the scale, allowing the material below screen opening size to pass through into the vacuum canister with the appropriate filter paper. Remaining material would then be removed from the scale(for re-screening or disposal) and the process repeated. The material in the scale is disturbed by air pulled into the scale through a slit in the rotating"T" bar(see photo 007) The"T" bar is rotated by a small 120 volt ... moremotor inside the machine(photo 010) The main photo is a rough example of how to assemble the setup. Note that we used a filter queen brand vacuum[NOT INCLUDED] because they have a see through plexiglass canister. Are durable yet easily rebuilt, quality machines. We used the machine to filter plant parts from plant pollen and have most certainly run more than 100,000 grams of pollen through it. It is simple machine so the only part the could wear out is the motor, but it runs at slow speed. I may be selling a Filter Queen in the future but they have been readily available at dealers up to now. There are other"vibrator" screen scale machines on the market which probably require less attention(more automated) But they start at $700 and go up quickly from there.
