This is part of an an HP 85050B standard 7 mm calibration kit. This is a current model http:www.home.agilent.com/en/pd-1000002013%3Aepsg%3Apro-pn-85050B/standard-mechanical-calibration-kit-dc-to-18-ghz-7-mm selling for $10.215 in the USA. This is a much more accurate kit than the 11866A. As the open is not just a hole in the 11866A. The sliding loads give a much better return loss than is possible with any fixed load. You can't even get any official figures from Agilent for that old kit. It is better than the"economy" 85050D. Although users might think the precision 85050C is better, note that is only for TRL calibration. The 85050C lacks the sliding load, so is less accurate for SOLT than the 85050B. The coefficients for the kit are likely to be in any modern or semi-modern VNA. If not. For most VNAs they can be downloaded ... morefrom the Agilent web site at http:na.tm.agilent.com/pna/caldefs/stddefs.html There are no files to download for the HP 8753 series. But it would work with an 8753, as one would just need to program the coefficients, into the USER defined kit. The coefficients are: C0=90.47989, C1=763.60303 C2=-63.81758 C3=6.43368, Offset delays of short=0 Offset delay of open=0 Offset loss is zero, If your VNA supports the entry of inductance coefficients(the 8753 does not) Then uses these values. If not, just ignore them, as the inductance of the short is incredibly small. L0=0.3566, L1=-33.39201 L2=1.7542, L3=-0.0336 The kit is incomplete. Although it does have everything needed to calibrate a VNA. It is the cheapest 85050B on eBay, and at least one of the others on eBay has the sliding load missing, which is by far the most expensive item. This is complete with the sliding load.
