This kettle is not so heavy but we will ship via freight for safety. Pick up is free. Of course. The Groen TDB series kettles are a self contained. Electric, steam jacketed kettle. The Groen TDB kettles work by having heating elements that convert water into steam. The steam rises into the jacket of the kettle and heats the product. The product absorbs the heat from the steam and converts the steam back into condensate. The condensate returns to the bottom of the kettle where it is reheated again into steam. This process is repeated until your product reaches the desired temperature that is set by the user on the thermostat.
