This kettle was recently removed in working condition from business that closed its doors. The Groen TDB series kettles are a self contained. Electric, steam jacketed kettle. Groen TDB kettles work by having heating elements that convert water into steam. The steam rises into the jacket of the kettle and heats the product. The product absorbs the heat from the steam and converts the steam back into condensate. The condensate returns to the bottom of the kettle where it is reheated again into steam. This process is repeated until your product reaches the desired temperature that is set by the user on the thermostat. Removed from restaurant and tested to see it is working. Jacket heated up quick and thermostat maintained temperature. Looks like the water in the jacket could use changing as the water looks a little cloudy in the sight glass tube. This unit is wired for single phase 208V but can be wired for 3 phase operation. Kettle was tested briefly to be sure it was working properly. I have not used this item myself beyond the brief testing. The operation of this kettle is pretty straightforward and I do not see any flaws with the unit. This unit is dated 1994. Virginia residents add 5.3% for sales tax. Flat Rate shipping is for lower 48 states. Alaska and Hawaii email for shipping quote. Shipping is to the freight terminal. You must pick up the kettle from the terminal.
