The Fly Rod is a 10-weight fiberglass blank made in England. It is 9'3" 282 cm) in length. The matching Hardy Marquis#10 reel is also made in England and comes with a Hardy case which is shown in the photo. The fly rod and reel set is used but is in excellent condition and is"like-new. It was hardly used and has been in storage for many years. The Hardy Fibralite spinning rod is part of the set. It is a 2pc fiberglass blank and is 6'1-1/2" 186 cm) in length. Rated for 2- 4lb test monofilament line. It has been used but has been cared for. There are few if any signs of use other than the cork handle which is not as pristine as the fly rod handle is.

Maybe cosmic justice from when I used to keep fish. maxed out my quota for this lifetime while salmon fishing in Alaska during college. idk. Whatever the reason. Here I am and will be for at least 2 years. After that, maybe I won't be in a place quite like Alaska still, maybe it will be some kind of purgatory. Like a halfway house to real living(otherwise known as"fishing" At any rate. I bought this rod last year. I found that it cast more accurately and with better feel than my brand new Sage ONE which cost almost twice the price of the St. Croix, and which I immediately sold. St. Croix makes a good rod. Their customer service(I've been told by the owner of the local rod shop) is very ... moregood. My loss. And maybe yours too if bad mojo sticks with the rod. If you don't want to end up living in some place where there are no fish, you might wanna let this one pass. Seriously. What do people even DO when they can't fish? Anyhoo. Hardy Bros. Three-piece, 7’6” The Marvel” bamboo trout rod. This is their premier light trout rod series. Made to satisfy the American market in terms of tapers. And this one is a beauty. It has the all-cork reel seat with the aluminum sliding band and Hardy stamped butt cap. It has a nice agate stripping guide. And two full length tip sections. It feels like a WFF#4 line will suit this rod. It has nickel silver ferrules. All of which fit perfectly. And cork-lined Hardy-marked protective stoppers and wooden ferrule plugs for the female ferrules. The serial number H1493 is stamped on the sliding band that dates the rod to 1955. The correct bag and Hardy aluminum case are here as well. This rod has all the Hardy goodies. Including the“Care of Rods” card on the bag. And one would be hard pressed to find a nicer example of this little Hardy rod.

very rare hardy the marvel fly rod 3 piece
here is a chance to own a very rare fly rod from hardy. this is the hardy marvel 3 piece 90in fly rod in original condition ie unrestored. it has at some point had a coat of varnish but apart from that original. there is a slight set in the top section but thats all. on the blank it reads palakona redge trade mark and the marvel rod. On the handle it has by appointment and the 3 feathers and by appointment and the unicorn and lion, also the number 58502e made by hardy england. this rod was made in the early 30s and comes in what looks like its original bag all its stoppers including ferrule over end stoppers, not sure if they are original for the rod but have kept joints perfect. please see all pics for condition but i have tried to describe as well as i can but please feel free to ask any questions thank you.
