VINTAGE RCA UZ4238 DUAL TEST METER
This RCA UZ4238 is about 70 years old and was used to test audio amplifiers used in radio broadcasting facilities. One meter was for voltage readings and the other was for current. A tag on the meter indicates that the last time it was tested was in 1959. It was probably removed from service in the late 1960s. The cable is cloth covered and it has a telephone type plug. And is used for the current meter. There were separate probes for voltage readings but I do not have them. There is a push button on the side to change the meter scale to 0-10 mA. The case is made of black bakelite. Condition is pretty good considering the age. The individual meters were made by Weston. I tested the volt meter and it works. I didn't have an easy way to check current. Will pack and ship anywhere in the US for $12. Payment by PayPal.

Both items are in extremely beautiful condition, and are truly some awesome surviving remnants of America's past, specifically its participation in World War 2. Both units are still equipped with the original documentation which they came with. The Voltmeter is dated November of 1921 while the Ammeter is dated May of 1937. Similarly. Stuff I bought cause it looks cool and is of no use to me at all. this is a pretty old multimeter. It has various coils that can be attached to give various ranges of amp measurements stored under the lid on the left, and the scale for amps is on a hexagonal prism that can be rotated to pick the appropriate scale. This vintage volt-ohm milliammeter worked perfectly prior to being packed away. During moving. One of the metal contacts on front was lost. The set screw was found inside, but the metal contact was not found. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it was missing until long after the boxes were discarded. That aside, this is a Herald Model TE-14AP Volt-Ohm Milliammeter with contact wires included, as shown.
