This came in from a test facility that had some older equipment that they didn't need anymore. This looks like it was in storage and not used for awhile. A lot of stuff we get from h ere works fine. See a lot of great positive feedbacks we have gotten from these. And haven't been tested and sold as parts/repair, so must have been pretty good! I am not a technician, but I did plug it in and it fired up okay. F irst powered up and showed a trace pretty much centered in the lower part of the grid. I moved the trace left/right. Up/down. Increased/decreased intensity. Adjusted the focus, etc. I decided to punch a bunch of buttons to get the panel to light up and show that it does seem to work somewhat. Came up with two different traces, with two lines in each trace. Picture three has a dual trace in the center(center two lines) with a bigger dual trace(upper and lower lines) enclosing the inner dual trace.There is not much else I can do to test this since I have no probes. Machine looks great and looks like it would run just fine. B ut since I can't test. Will be selling as a parts/repair unit and sold AS IS. Showed some things I can do, and looks to work somewhat. Tektronix 222PS Digital Storage Oscilloscope
For auction is a functioning Tektronix 222PS portable oscilloscope. Non-Tek 117VAC wall wart and a P6104 scope probe. The installed battery does not hold a charge. As can be seen in the pictures the unit is displaying a sine wave on channel 1 and a square wave on channel 2. The first picture is showing a pulse using the supplied P6104 probe. The 222PS is unusual in that chan 1 and chan 2 grounds are isolated from each other for 600 volts. Both input connectors are weird(not BNC) and it uses special probes, the P850. The P6104 with the BNC compensation box unplugged can be plugged into the Power Scout input connectors. That is what is shown, what I used and what is supplied. Tektronix 2336 Ruggedized Dual Trace Oscilloscope
This 2 channel 100MHz Tektronix 2236YA scope has worked well for me for the past few years. I have been using it and have found no problem with it. Panel controls are in good repair and function well. Time delay between waveforms can be measured accurately using the bottom LCD readout. When sold new. The unit was rated at 50g mechanical shock for field service. It has a good solid case that closes nicely with a hinged front- Please see the photos. It's not exactly portable by today's standards, Yet it is a very friendly and clean scope that was handy to take to a project site without worrying too much about it getting damaged on the way. The trace displayed is sharper than other scopes I have owned. Voltage gains and time bases report as I would expect. Nevertheless.
