This scope seems to be a good electronics workbench item. It was rescued from an"e-waste" pile only because it was taken out of the calibration cycle at my company. I have performed some tests of both channels and I see no problems. I am not completely familiar with the digital/storage functions but they seem to operate as well. All other analog function knobs. Pots, dials etc operate smoothly(vertical position, etc) I will include a power cord. Extra goodies: I am including some overstock items I have on hand for you to supplement your component stock. The unit powers up and gives a trace as shown in the photo. It has some cosmetic wear as seen in the photos. Everything that comes with it is shown in the photos. There were some“D” size rechargeable batteries in the battery compartment that had begun to leak. These were disposed of. There is no damage to the battery compartment. The contacts had minor corrosion that cleaned up ok, but left them with a little pitting. The carrying case has minor wear and staining from storage and age, but is complete and the latch works fine. You get the oscilloscope, looks like most of the original documentation, software on 3 cds, 2 scope probes, stylus, canvas storage bag(attaches to top of scope) and power cord. Concerns: This scope was in great condition when I received it and only used it a few times. So there's not much changed in condition. It originally had 4 probes and all were new in their packaging. I'm only including 2 scope probes one I open to test the scope and the other is new,unopened, in its packaging. If I do find the other scope probes will send to the highest bidder free of charge(have no need for them) But as it stands now I'm only including 2 probes. The scope does work. But I noticed when I first plug it into the ... moreac outlet it doesn't boot all the way(it starts as soon as I plug it in? The screen freezes at the tektronix logo. You'll need to reboot by holding the power button for a few seconds. Once its rebooted, it starts fine and any other power cycles normally through the power button work each time(must'n be unplug though or you'll have to reboot again) Takes about a minute or two to boot before the scope is displayed. The scope isn't fully tested and may need calibration. But as far as i can tell it works fine. The documentation does have some staining and wrinkles, one is still sealed in plastic. I'm selling 2 of my own scopes that were my own workhorses. This one here is 2465BDM with all options but TV. It was my backup scope for my main 2465BDV that I used for my own work. The other one. In a separate auction, is 2465BDV- almost the same but WITH Video option. Everything else(GPIB, CTT, WR, Multimeter) is the same. Item description will be almost identical for both scopes(it takes too much time to write separate detailed descriptions. Photos are of the actual scope except multimeter reading that is the same for both of them and I somehow forget to take a picture for both of theme so only one shown. I'm not making business selling scopes. Just selling my own stuff I no longer need. That means those scopes were fully refurbished with care for my own use, not just to sell them i.e. I did it for myself so I did not cut any corners ... moreor made any compromises. The reason I'm selling those is simple- I purchased a couple of fully loaded 2467B scopes with multiple issues some time ago and restored them to fully working condition. It took me almost 6 months but was well worth an effort- I like them more than 2465Bs and that is why I'm selling my primary and backup 2465Bs. I won't be quoting 2465B specs- those who know 2465B don't need them and those who do need specs don't need 2465B: Those 2 scopes were fully refurbished(finished last August or so) for my own use. Not for sale. It is a real job, not just a mere claim. By that time they had fresh Li batteries installed so those are one year old now and will definitely last for at leas 10 more years(there is a sticker with installation date on each battery. Power supplies were fully recapped with proper fresh high quality capacitors(all electrolytics and all line input X2/Y1 caps. Tektronix 485 2 Channel 350MHz Analog Oscilloscope
I have had this scope for a number of years with light use. Cosmetics are pretty good. A few of the little rubber switch ends have cracks. The feet have a few bits of plastic off but that is about it. Last cal was decades ago. If the scope is not used for a long period sometimes it is necessary to cycle the switches but they come back. I believe it is all working but have not tested some of the less used functions like z axis. The scope is a 2 channel. The four traces in the picture show mixed B delayed by A mode. A 485 has roughly a 300- 350MHz bandwidth with the proper probes. No probes or manual are included. I have a pdf of the maintenance manual if desired.
