3D Printer - Tslot frame with Linear bearings - GT2 2mm Belts and Pulleys
I will be offering this printer for sale as it is shown in the images I have two 3D printers now and only room for one in my shop This printer printed many of the parts for my other printer I designed this printer from scratch and based my design on my CNC machine I have over $500 in parts in this printer See the parts list image to see my cost on the parts I used to build this printer I have many hours of labor in this printer build I would guess it took 40+ hours to design and build from scratch It is a working printer. All you need is the stepper drivers electronics, a power supply and some 1.75mm PLA filament I only used 1.75mm PLA on this printer. But you can use ABS also. If you want to use ABS filament. You would have to add a heater to the bed The nozzle is.4mm and the extruder is set up for 1.75mm diameter filament The total bed ... moresurface area is 9 x 9 inches so you could add a properly sized bed heater if you wanted to The Y axis travel is 8.25 inches The X axis travel is 8 inches The Z axis travel is 10.25 inches The UHMW linear bearings can be adjusted via small screws on the sides the bearings bearing You should not have to adjust them very often because the UHMW plastic does not wear I use pure silicon spray on the T Slots to make the bearings slide really nice. You can get spray silicon at Wal-Mart and other stores. T slot linear bearings are very expensive and that is why most people do not build with T slot material You can easily pay $35 each for T slot linear bearings and there are 7 of them on this printer I used Mach3 to control this printer and that is way different than what most Reprap people use I used a small Notebook computer to control Mach3 and this printer I am not at all familiar with any of the electronics that the Reprap crowd uses like Ramps. Etc If you are familiar with the common Reprap type electronics you will have no problem hooking up this printer This printer is working fine. I just unhooked all the wires and took my electronics off and that's what you see in the picture

This wax is surplus from the aircraft/ aerospace industry. It comes from a plant that makes actual patterns from wax and ships them out to foundries in refrigerated trucks. This wax comes from r isers and feeders that were cut off or not pass inspection. Those parts are then gently warmed just enough to have the wax flow into the newly formed green blocks you see below.
