Hello, I bought this 3D printer just about 1 month ago direct form Printrbot assembled. This is the newest version of the Printrbot LC Version 2 that was just released. I was one of the first people to get it. The printer is still in perfect condition. It is a great 3D Printer and I love 3D printing but I realized I need a printer with a bigger build area. So I have decided to sell this and upgrade. That is the only reason I am selling this. If I could afford two 3D Printer I would surely keep this bot. The printer works great! Everything is 100% functional and it is built very well. I bought this assembled from Printrbot with the Powertower included. This printrbot comes with a 1.75mm extruder and uses 1.75mm filament. Printrbot LC 3D Printer with PrintrBOX, Many Upgrades, ABS & PLA Filament
This is a Printrbot LC made of laser cut wood. It has a LOT of upgrades from the original printer to make it much better. Modifications are listed below. PrintrBOX to house the printer. They don't make this box anymore and it stores the upgraded Cooler Master 450W power supply underneath for a very clean look. I also installed the control board underneath and drilled holes in the side for the USB cable to connect to the board. Any future repairs will be easier to deal with as the connections are very easy to get at this way. All the wood for the box and printer were Shellac'd before building the printer to help keep any moisture from warping the wood. It has a much nicer look to it because of it. It's a must for ABS but not required for PLA. Bed leveling has been added to make the printing bed flat so the printer head has an even surface to print. A bed stabilizer keeps the bearings in place so the bed doesn't rock at all. Fan mount at the extruder to help cool the filament as it is put down along with an excellent fan. Don't run it full blast or you'll cool down the bed too much and your prints won't stick. The fan works great for cooling the bed down after a print so you can get the print off faster. Upgraded the X and Y belts and pulleys to GT2 for less play in each axis. Belt tensioners were added so you can tighten the belts if they get loose over time. ACME screws and nuts for the Z axis for smoother motion and more consistent prints. Hot end has a 0.4 mm nozzle. I typically printed at 0.250 mm layer height. Printrbot Plus v1 3D Printer w/ Upgrades, Power Tower, and PLA/ABS Filament
This is a Printrbot Plus v1 that has been upgraded with many Printrbot factory options. It has the Y-Axis bearing stabilizer installed and Y-Axis belt tensioner along with a GT2 pulley and belt on the that axis. I have an extra GT2 belt for that axis also. The Z-Axis threaded rods have been changed out for brass ones and the X-Axis carriage has been setup with three bearings. I have another GT2 pulley for the X-Axis you just need to get a GT2 belt for it and install if desired. The heated build platform is covered by a heat resistant broscilicate glass plate that I usually use metal clips to hold in place although there are some printed corners that could be adapted for that purpose. I like the ease of quickly pulling the plate off with the clips. The installed extrusion tip nozzle for the 3mm extruded is.35mm but a.4mm and.5mm are also included. ... moreA cooling fan and cooling duct setup has been added that direct air around the nozzle to the printed object. The bed itself has been upgraded to the adjustable version which makes bed leveling much easier. Also included is the Printrbot Power Tower which nicely houses the power supply and also holds the included Printrbot Spool on four bearings allowing for easy automatic filament feeding. Included too are various amounts if both PLA and ABS filament. About.8kgs of each type as seen in the photos. The green/silver/etc group is PLA and the red/blue/etc is the ABS. In the photos you can see examples of some of the random objects we have printed with it. This has been a fantastic unit but I have multiple printers now and one needs to go. The finish has been left raw so you could paint or stain it if you like. I will also include my settings that I usually use so that you have a good base to start from but I can't teach you how to 3D print. Solidoodle 4 3D Printer - Prints great, excellent condition, with ABS filament
You are bidding on a Solidoodle 4 3D Printer. This unit is in excellent working and cosmetic condition. The quality of prints that this unit produces are as good as any single-extruder printer on the market. Especially at.1mm layer thickness. You can see from the photos a recent print(this week) of a 20mm hollow calibration cube. The tolerance is within.02mm and the sides of the cube are clean and tight(1mm layer) Note this is a completely HOLLOW cube with no internal support and for this example I did not even use a raft or brim. Although I normally would use a raft or brim depending on what I was printing. I just did this as a demo of the printers capability more than a practical print. There has been no post processing, this is straight out of the printer. No clogs. No jams. The bed is in great shape and ABS sticks to it like glue. The ... moreheater works like a charm and I never had to use hairspray or glue to get the print to stick to the bed. The Kapton tape is in great shape. So you are getting a nice printer here with no known issues. Note I have only used ABS with this printer. I never tried PLA although this printer can print both ABS and PLA. The software and drivers to run the printer are open source and available as downloaded from the Solidoodle website. I use Repetier host and Slicr. This printer will ship with the original Solidoodle tools in the original box with all of the original packing materials. One full spool of white ABS filament in sealed bag with desiccant and one partial roll of black ABS(see photo) That said. Please understand that as good as this printer is, and as thoroughly debugged it is, after I ship it you will still need to take the responsibility to calibrate it yourself(it is always recommended to re-calibrate a 3D printer after physically moving it) and set it up to your own preferences.
